Talk of the Town Grill & Bar

It’s a shame because I feel this place could be awesome. The smell of sewage smacks you in the face when you walk in. CLEAN YOUR P TRAP. Been that way for months, likely longer. Eaten here multiple times (dine-in and takeout) since I live nearby. Food is always average at best- even for bar food. Definitely overpriced for the quality. Service is consistently bad. Employees seem to do what they please. Ordering takeout there is weird and a problem. Food is ready quickly normally. Pick up at bar and bartender/s never seem to want to help or have any idea what’s going on. Last time, after standing for a couple mins, I asked a girl prepping silverware (sitting at the bar) if she worked there and she said “yes but no” since the bartender was “too busy” drinking to help me out.

Clear lack of management, professionalism, standards, and training.

We just had dinner at Talk of the Town, which we visited based on hearing about it on 101 The Fox. Where do I start! When we walked in, the smell took us back (smelled like urine), however, we wanted to give it a chance.
The place was filthy from the menus to the table, windows, and don't get me started on the restroom, yuck!
My wife ordered a drink that was supposed to taste like Raspberry, but it was absolutely horrible! The waitress was very nice and took it back, and we requested a pineapple margarita. Well, just as disappointing, the bartender does not know how to make a drink. We ordered the barbecue nachos and the main course was fish and chips. We wished we could throw up and start over. Would have rather eaten at QTrip.
Not sure how a place like this is still in business, we certainly wish we had read the reviews before deciding to go there.

Just from getting takeout, walking in, it smelt like rotten eggs. We got the quesadilla and pork tenderloin, and they were questionable at best. It's very bland and bad lettuce. Soggy and relatively gross. Still ate it to fill up that's why it's 2 star. Might be a good place to get drunk with friends.

Reuben sandwich was tough as a boot. Club sandwich had zero taste. We went at 11:15 and the music was extremely loud along with the staff.

We went there, stood in the front waiting for someone to greet us and give us a seat for about 10 minutes. Literally the staff sat around the bar talking and cursing like sailers and nobody came. We left. Horrible place.

I regret Not trying the Gator Bites but we were about 15 people with a time limit. Other than that it was Good!

Great place! And they have our family favorite dessert - The Dump Truck!

The food is so yummy but if you get take out make sure to double check everything is in there! This is the second time we got home and realized they left something out. Other than that it’s great.

This is my go to place to eat the best food and hang around when I am visiting Kansas State . The staff are professional and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing.
