Fantastic fresh food options!! I got the breakfast wrap, tomatoe soup and a side of blue cheese bread which was incredible dipped in the soup. This is a must try for healthy salads, awesome sandwiches and delightful soups.

Visited Mixx in Leawood hoping for a healthy bite, but left disappointed. My companion's quinoa salad (an Asian shrimp version) was overloaded with bland quinoa and lacked flavor overall. My club sandwich came on bread that was dry around the edges, and the side salad had stale croutons. The ranch dressing was flat and barely tasted like ranch.

We tried a peanut butter cookie that was crumbly, flavorless, and neither chewy nor crispy—just fell apart. I asked for a replacement and got a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, which was merely okay.

On the positive side, the counter staff was friendly and accommodating, and the place wasn't crowded. However, the bright, sterile atmosphere felt uninviting.

I won't be returning.

It's fast food salad and soup. It's all very fresh. It's a very clean place. I enjoyed the Rocket salad and mixing in extra ingredients. Great place for lunch.

I get my wife the salmon BLT and it's always fabulous. I mean fabulous. Today (August 12, 2025) it was spectacular, best ever she said. Every bite.

The bread was sumptuous, the salmon plentiful and perfect. The flavoring is always incredible, but today's was the best it's ever been.

Trust me: This is some of the best salmon in KC!

The cashier's friendly smile made ordering a breeze, though I did encounter a small hiccup when several tables needed wiping down (nothing a quick self-service cleanup couldn't fix).

What makes The Mixx special is their commitment to food that's actually good for you - everything prepped from scratch using non-GMO certified ingredients without preservatives or high-fructose corn syrup. As Kansas City's first healthy fast-casual spot (opened in 2005!), they've perfected the art of making nutritious food that doesn't sacrifice flavor.

I always buy salad from here because I love the taste but my last experience with this manager has never been good
All the times I’m there she is talking bad to the workers , she don’t know what she is doing since it’s been at couple times I make questions about food and she always find someone else to answer , I mean she is a manager or supervisor!!!
Last time was my last straw
I was ordering my food when other women walking in and she made the worker stop make Make my salad to go help the other lady ( white ) so know I understand, she is use discretion tactics for everyone who is not white , terrible attitude and no work ethic at all !!!
I just think in the workers there they are all nice and friendly , the owner need to deal with this 😠

This used to be a favorite of mine, but I'm done with it. I tried to order carryout online, but the website refused my credit cards, so I ordered by phone. Then the credit card was fine. They now charge extra for a plain dinner roll to accompany a full-size salad, but the order-filler neglected to include the roll. Our 3 salads (all Garden of Eden) were good, but the sandwiches were disappointing. The falafel was mushy. My husband found the Country Club difficult to eat. Eating in the restaurant might be a better choice, but it was deafening on a Tuesday at noon.

Have not been to the Mixx for almost a decade. They have definitely improved their selections and options in many ways. They did not offer so many sandwiches and specific salads before. Will most assuredly be back.
