The bartender at Red Room is second to none. I think her name is Steph. Not only is she by far the best bar tender in OP, she is also the cutest. I think RP is still currently allowed entry.
Great local spot

This used to be such a cool after hours bar. Sadly it is now blasting music, to the point where it is impossible to have any kind of conversation. The crowd varies and yes, it has been rough on occasion. Fire the dj, police the crowd, with real police, (the OP variety entrapping patrons on their way from Maloneys) and go back to what you do best, chill, friendly vibes and good drinks.
Rude bartenders, bad attitudes always.. especially the one on Friday
I can't speak for the day time hours or for every night, but Friday night. That is a rough crowd. It's not safe. Makes me glad that I quit drinking and hanging around bars. Something not right there. Bartender was respectful though. Lady with long blonde hair.

Loved that it wasn't very busy but the bartender ignored you if you weren't one of the regulars it seemed.

Bartender was a bit slow on service but was overall a nice gal and sociable. Some of the other patrons were questionable and off putting.

We booked The Red Room on a weeknight for our company's holiday party and we all had an absolute blast! The GM, Tom, was a great help in getting things planned and set up prior to the event. The staff that worked our event were super attentive, friendly and made sure we had a great time! I loved the atmosphere and decor of The Red Room - very funky, retro, dive-bar vibes. ?

Always a great time, especially on Mondays🤘🏼
It’s hard to imagine a more perfect local bar. Let me start with some backstory…My wife and I moved on a whim from the taint of America (Florida, for the unitiated) to Overland Park, KS. Too many people conjure the Wizard of Oz when we talk about our move, but I will agree that I understand Dorothy’s sentiment of there being “no place like home”. Either way, two weeks post move, Kansas hasn’t immediately felt like “home”.Then we went to The Red Room.We sat at the bar, soaking in as much of the ambience of Chiefs fandom and 90s music. Stephanie, the amazing bartender, greeted us with a genuine desire for us to feel welcome. We got to chat about all things local, and shared few stories (and shots) together and I’m fairly sure we ended the night at BFFLs.If I haven’t mentioned it, I’m old. Like 80s old. And closing down bars past 2am is usually not my thing. So it’s few and far between that I feel comfortable enough to indulge like I did at the Red Room. To feel like a regular the first time i show up is a testament to the people who are running the show. Hats off to the whole staff! So three months later, we finally show up again. Stefanie remembers us and we reminisce on that random day we found a home in Kansas. I am grateful for the Red Room, for Stephanie, and for our new home.Midwest is best. There is truly no place like it.
