Personally my favorite Mexican food anywhere. Get any of the combination platters and one of their unique, magnificent margaritas. You're welcome!

I cannot prove it but I'm pretty sure I've been sick for two days after eating here. I came in Thursday at open. I heard a ding from the kitchen and then here comes my food, approximately four minutes after I ordered it. The rice and sides of the burrito were hot as the sun and the middle was just barely warm. I didn't think anything of it and ate and left. I had stomach cramps Thursday night turning into worse Friday morning and I had to miss work today because I still feel fubar. Again, I can't say with 100% certainty it was because of Torreon but I would bet my life the food was microwaved and if a restaurant can't be bothered to actually properly prepare a burrito, I'm not sure they can be bothered to follow proper safety.

A little disappointed. The chips and salsa were not great. The chips were stale and the salsa was average. My tamales were very dry. Large portions.

Great dinner...Bob had your wonderful chili verde, a chili relleno, enchiladas, and I had the cheese enchiladas..excellent, as always. Also had the guacamole, which was just perfect..the espinaca was very good..but needs more of the spinach....please! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, it was crowded and waited a mere 15 minutes for a table..not bad on a Saturday nite..if you haven't tried this unique little restaurant, DO SO...yes, it's LOUD..yes, it is CROWDED..and yes..you might sit next to someone you don't know...WHY...? Because several different generations have been dining her for over 40+ years, they know good food, the servers recognize you and treat you well, and the owners are top notch, friendly, and care about your visit. And, if you don't try it..well, MORE FOR US THEN!!

It's a cute atmosphere but that's about it.. I should have known when I ate the chips and salsa, watery salsa,queso and seemed like cheap chips.. Probably should have left but decided to give an entree a chance.. Nope... won't waste my money on this place again...

We recently visited this Mexican restaurant in Kansas City with friends and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. We get back to Torreon's from time to time. We moved away from the neighborhood 25 years ago but make the hour trip to get the Margaritas. Bring a DD because you'll want more than 1. The food is great as well. Small cozy place but well worth the wait for a table.
