Prices initially seem a little high, but when they deliver the food and you see the portions you will have no complaints. Great food, big portions, and amazing service.
I have traveled to Overland Park for work from time to time, and the Doubletree hotel is by far the best hotel in the area and that is because of the Trofi restaurant onsite. The aesthetic is classy, clean, and visually appealing, and the food is great. However, it’s truly the staff that makes Trofi an establishment that keeps customers coming back. Phil is absolutely FANTASTIC! He engages with customers in a way that makes his customer service exceptional - he remembers little details about us months later which creates true connections. Not to mention, he has a great personality. By the same token, Walter is awesome! His humor and personality brings such a fun vibe to the restaurant. The two of them together, talk about a dream team! I will never stay elsewhere in the area because of this place feeling like home away from home and making work travel such a pleasant experience.

When they say Crispy Waffle, they mean it. Crispiest waffle I have ever had. Bacon was cooked perfectly.

This gem was introduced to me by former Mayor of Overland Park, Carl Gerlach. A quiet place to meet with consistently great food. Once again, I had a wonderful steak and enjoyed an easy conversation with friends.

I had the Omaha Reuben with French Fries. Your choice of Corned Beef or Turkey, I got the CB. Very generous portions. The Thousand Island dressing complimented the tangy sauerkraut. The cheese was warm and nicely melted over the tender Corned Beef. The bread held up well and did not get too soggy. The fries had a nice homestyle flavor and just crispy enough.
Overall, a great Reuben and a great value at $17. Very filling so no room for dessert. Friendly service and one of my best hotel meals. None better anywhere if you love Reubens.

A hidden gem located inside the Doubletree Hotel. The food is delicious, and they have some unique cocktails on the drink menu. What topped it all off was the excellent service. Phil and Walter are true gentlemen, and Karen is a peach.
Thank you so much for the magnificent sevice from lovely Stefania and delightful Phil. They make my stay relaxing and
provide service that is beyond satisfiying. If there was a special word for pleasure at the Double Tree they would be honered in the W.ebsters dictionary
I have dined in and taken out. Dining in the food comes out exactly how you order it. They do a good job. Take out they basically bomb your order. Burger has gone way over cooked, or under cooked, the fries are always cold, sometimes parts of the order are just missing. I'm not really sure why take out is so awful here. Probably better to dine in if you have the time or just avoid it.
The cuisine in this area is a very delicate balance of tasty sandwiches and comfort food that is easy to take and go or just sit and quench your hunger while dining in. The Smoked In House Baby Back Ribs and the Eclectic Burger that had a thick slice of Angus Beef on a brioche bun was beyond succulent, juicy and moist. The portion size balanced the plate with fresh, firm and tasty French Fries. The house salad had all the makings of spring lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bites and shredded carrots topped with a delicious ranch dressing. The Omaha original Reuben (Corn Beef or Turkey) is more than a sandwich full of well seasoned meat good the next day if you “ cannot finish it in one setting.” The servers Walter, Stefania and Phil were all customer focused making sure your meal was pleasant and satisfying. Excellent place for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner to relax and wind down in comfy surroundings.
We had a delicious Easter brunch buffet at Trofi. Stefania our server was so friendly and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Loved the desserts too. I'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I went for the Valentine's Day 5-course meal with chef Jeremy Mercado. The food was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely be attending another multiple-course meal experience there.
We attended a Valentine's Day special event hosted by Chef Jeremy. It consisted of a five-course menu with an optional wine pairing. Aside from the late start, the evening went perfectly! The courses were delicious along with the expertly-picked wine. We'll be back again for his next event.
Good hotel restaurant
You need to give this place a chance. The steaks are amazing. I was told that they cut them in house.
You will not be disappointed if you decide to dine at the hotel restaurant. The food is excellent, the portions are large, and the service is great. I would highly recommend giving them a try.
