Urban Egg a daytime eatery

First time here and the food is amazing. We got the biscuits and gravy to share and they were so good. I got the tamale Benedict and my wife got the breakfast tacos. Both were very good. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is bright and airy. We will be back.

Our server was Grace. She was amazing. She took a lot of time to share about the meals. Even extra time to share and listen to stories. She is definitely an asset to the restaurant. Not to mention all the staff was pleasant and food was great!!

This was our first time trying this place for breakfast and we loved it. My husband says the biscuits and gravy are the best he’s tried anywhere in Overland Park! We will be returning soon!

Why is this called urban egg but it’s in a strip mall in south OP? Do better and build in the city. Not the burbs.

Welcoming reception from the Host upon arrival. Sat at the “bar” and enjoyed a chai and a blueberry streusel pancake. Both were EXCELLENT and exceeded any expectations I may have held. MATT is the bomb, too.

Looks like I forgot pics, but I did a pancake flight of the Cinnamon roll pancake, strawberry cheesecake pancake, and the Hawaiian pineapple coconut pancake. The service was excellent, our server did a great job of recommendations and filling up waters. I imagine that the place is usually very full as it was this day. I, personally preferred the Hawaiian pancake (probably not everyone's liking) but it wasn't too sweet. The strawberry cheesecake pancake really did taste like strawberry cheesecake, and the cinnamon roll pancake was very very sweet. I liked it a lot, but if I had gotten 3 of the Cinnamon roll pancake, I wouldn't have finished more than 1.

Kid-friendliness: There were families with kids, so normal amount of kid-friendly at a restaurant.

Birthday bruch and the food was very good. The staff was accommodating even though their reservation system was a bit difficult.

Our server Kevin was incredible. He had great recommendations as this was our first visit. The chicken and waffles eggs benedict and the billion dollar bourbon bacon were fantastic. Will definitely be going back!
