I just came in to sit unbothered, read my book and have breakfast for lunch. I certainly got that, but I noticed a lot more.

My waitress was charming, friendly, but not invasive. Her enthusiasm for the menu was contagious, and yet she didn't chat too long. She saw I had my book and I assume saw that I wasn't really in the mood to chat and she respected that.

While I enjoyed my food - which came rather quickly - I kept overhearing the conversations at other tables. The staff stopped and chatted with several tables as though they were all friends. I'm assuming these people are regulars - and there were several! - but it was cool to see how they remembered names and cared about their guests.

And yes, my waitress was right: the stuffed French toast was like biting into a cloud, and the flavor was FANTASTIC. I WILL be back soon!

Tish was amazing! Took excellent care of us. We had some food allergies in our party and the Chef came out to explain what would be safe. They took excellent care of us. Will come back any time we are in the area!

We've eaten here several times and ordered take out. The food is pretty good but it's usually pretty busy (it can be hard to walk around) and it seems like they don't have the staff to handle it. Plan on it taking a while. Today we tried using their online hold your place in line feature, but I wouldn't recommend it. We had a larger party(6) and it kept telling us our time was being pushed back. When it finally said we would be seated soon (after an hour) we went in and the staff told us that the online feature doesn't matter, they only start working on holding a table for you when you physically show up. They only have 5 tables they were willing to sit us at (wouldn't pull smaller tables together) and 2 of the 5 were recently seated with groups of 4 or less, which most of the other tables in the restaurant can handle. The host staff wasn't particularly helpful and wouldn't even provide us with a guess of how long it would take to be seated. The store blamed corporate for the website not saying the right thing, but the local branch can choose to treat customers coming through the website the way it says they are being treated.

Urban Egg is the go-to! Best biscuits and gravy in KC! The staff is always interactive and entertaining with their customers! By the time you leave, you feel like a regular:)

Outstanding food! Bisquits and gravy are a MUST try, the breakfast tacos are also delicious and filling. Pancakes are big and filling. I love getting the honey lemonade 🔥 2nd time here and the family loves it. They have dizzy bags for the kids that will keep them VERY entertained.

After getting home with my takeout, I took a sip of the cold brew (It was just a simple vanilla clld brew) I got from here. All so I could discover it was spicy?

Emptied it out to discover there was cayenne pepper in the bottom?? Not even a little of it either. I know that coffee can sometimes have left over grounds in it. That was not it. It was definitely a bright red.
