I tried this place again, and will not be going back. The food is absolutely horrendous. I can't believe this place has an overall 4 star rating. The duck confit small plate was one of the worst meals I've ever tried. Also, the pizza Margherita was horrible. I couldn't believe this place couldn't even get pizza right. We went for dinner on a Sunday night and there was barely anyone there but the service was incredibly slow.

It was ... bad. Bad and wildly overpriced for what you got. Typical Overland Park chain restaurant.There was a bug in the water on the table, so nothing was covered and it was just out, they dropped multiple dishes in the restaurant, including dropping food directly on me. Mistakes happen, and this I can forgive, but the whole experience was not great.The food was wildly expensive for what you get. Portions are small and messy, and not nearly worth the cost. The "carbonara" was a watery cream sauce (that tasted out of a jar) with crispy bacon, not pancetta, and over-boiled chicken breast. There was nothing "carbonara" about it. The hummus was about 2 dollars of hummus, 2 olives, and tobacco sauce, and it came with "grilled" (but cold and hard) pita triangles out of a box. A gentleman at my table ordered a steak and it was not cooked as he requested it.I don't want to be too negative. I am sure other people enjoy this, but this restaurant does not deserve the prices they put on their work. I am nervous to publish this as some of my friends seemed to enjoy it. But it was disappointing.The whole experience was just Advanced Applebee's.

I let our waitress know I am gluten free, and she brought out bread in addition to veggie sticks for me with the complimentary baba ganoush. I appreciated that, but the baba ganoush however was very delicate. It had a nice taste but could have done with a dash more salt to stand up to our bread/veggies. However, from there our waitress spent a lot of time chatting with a nearby table and ignoring us. We were sitting outside as some rain was coming in. Our food was brought out, but our waitress had the other employee take our food back to the pass without even acknowledging us or informing us why. We waited while she chatted with the other table for 5 or 10 minutes and our food died in the pass. Eventually we were moved inside and dodged the rain, but my wife's trout had dried out. It had taken so long for it to come out the first time, we opted to just keep it. Unfortunately, it was also in desperate need of some seasoning. I tried the pasta carbonara, which to be fair, I was fairly happy with. Portions felt slightly on the small side. In summary, we had a very bad experience with the wait staff, and the food alone does not warrant us returning when there are so many other restaurants at this price point that do just as well with the food or better.

The BEST experience! We had a private event at YaYa's in Overland Park KS and could not have been happier with the entire experience. The GM Kris worked with me in doing the advance planning and went above and beyond all evening serving as our host! The entire staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure it was a most special evening for all of us. The food, service, and ambience were superb and beyond expectation! The food is always delicious, especially the babaganoush. The service is always good. Everyone is always nice. The atmosphere is feels elegant and warm. The only thing I would say should change is the busboys and hostess, because they are younger, they tend to gossip and talk a bit loud next to tables.

It was a beautiful day and we were able to enjoy brunch on the patio outside. The service and the food were outstanding. Wonderful selections of food. However, it would be nice to have at least one additional vegetable selection and less chicken options.
If you have a food allergy, they do not take it seriously. They “assume” or “don't think” that particular ingredient exists. If you have them ask the chefs, they respond with, “If there is a food allergy and I ask the chefs, they will refuse to make it”.

Service is always good. Ive eaten here many, many times and the food is always above average no matter what you get. Id probably stick to waiter recommendations for specials and fan favorites. Ive heard the Sunday brunch is great.
