Great little diner with friendly staff. We were travelling through the area on our way down to OKC and we're looking for local places to grab lunch. It was either Pops Diner or keep driving to Wichita. Well, our stomachs were growling and Pops won.
We pulled up to the unassuming little diner in the middle of quaint downtown Peabody (lots of local shops to visit). We entered, found a table and our waitress quickly brought us menus. I chose the hot open-faced roast beef sandwich (the roast beef was so tender and moist, and the mashed potatoes were homemade). My husband chose a double bacon cheeseburger with handcut fries (burgers were fresh, not pre-formed patties and the bacon was thick!). Our son chose the chicken strip dinner with fries and applesauce.
All of the food was hot and delicious. Many locals visiting and stopping in to pickup to go orders even. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

I went on my 40th birthday & had breakfast with my family! Lots of nostalgia. Jenny was our server! It was good seeing her and all the others I ran into! Happy to see a small town diner thriving!

The food was ok. We got biscuits and gravy. We got it to go. The lady was very rude and not friendly. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

Spent a few days in KS visiting with my Pop last year. Was out for an adventure visiting small towns around Newton. Stumbled upon Pops Diner around lunch time and decided to give it a go. Was not disappointed. One of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had. I've traveled all over North America, from Puebla, Mexico to Edmonton, Canada. This classic, well crafted DELICIOUS cheeseburger is in my top 3 of all time. No stunt burger here. No truffle, gold leaf garbage. No sir. Great bun, better patty( ies), American cheese and whatever condiments you like. Served with onion and pickles if I remember correctly. I still crave that burger. Small town hospitality in my favourite, middle America. One day, I'll be back...

Great little cafe. Stepping back in time. Definitely have the regulars coming in daily. Great to see.Maybe a tad pricey for the area. $1.75 for coffee and $2.25 for fountain.

Great food! Garbage was fantastic! (Eggs with ham, onions and peppers and hashbrowns) Husband got Tenderloin sandwich and it was great. Prices and service were great. Highly recommend. Cute downtown with a few antique/vintage shops nearby.

Very cute, friendly, and affordable. Lunch special was pork chops and I'm not gonna lie... they were incredible! See ya soon, Pops.

Kid-friendliness: Claw machine is trash! Although everyone inside was more than patient watching my kid get loud with excitement and spend my money. Thank you for that.
