You simply must go to experience the ambience of a bygone era. There are just so many decorative chickens to look at. I also loved the retro video games, and the glass telegraph insulators. I ordered the mozzarella sticks. They were bad. I tasted my friend's fries; fantastic. One of my dining companions reports that the fried chicken was fabulous. The other said the best thing on her plate was the German cole slaw. Service was great. The women's restroom was unpleasant. I was really bummed that they had run out dessert. It was the only thing I wanted.

The food we got was awful. The onion rings tasted like they were cooked in old oil. We could not even eat them. It took a long time to get our food and the chicken was little pieces and over cooked. I will never go back. Run save your money.

Had to wait about 10 minutes past my pickup time right at opening. Got the chicken for two. The onion rings were a big disappointment. No flavor, no seasoning. All I could taste was bland batter. I was surprised as I had read how awesome they were. Chicken was average, the Mac and cheese was really good and the baked beans average as well. The chocolate pie was nothing special. The green beans were seasoned well with onion and bacon.

First time here and honestly will NOT go back, we were sitting for about 15 min before anyone even gave us a menu, we were there for an hour after that before we got our food, mind you it was not busy at all 4 tables tops! When our food did finally come out it was all cold, the chicken was slimy. I have a daughter who LOOOVVEEESSSS mashed potatoes when she had theirs she completely spit it out and didn’t want to eat it I would not recommend this place and will not come back!!!

The "feud" over who's better Annie's or Mary's is alive with locals. But, I didn't see it. We tried this chicken once and both looked at each other and my husband said what I was thinking - Shake-n-Bake! So, nope. It's a no go for me and my husband, who knows fried chicken ( being raised in the south). Service was ok - they were busy. It's an older building and dated.
