We've been eating at Mary's for years and it has been amazing. There was a decline in food quality about a year ago for a couple months but everything is back to like it always has been. Great onion rings, the chicken is amazing, I love the German slaw and the livers and gizzard are the best. Thank you for the consistently great food through the years.

I don't often feel the need to leave a review for bad food, but we couldn't even finish the food. The chicken is all hyped up on reviews, but I've got to say I have never experienced more whiplash. In hindsight, it shouldn't be surprising that a small southern-ish hometown chicken place has a recipe that seems to include only flour and salt. Lots and lots of salt. It feels like a place where old people go because they don't realize other seasonings exist besides salt. I've had bland chicken before, but this goes beyond. It's a full on assault of salt. It's a disrespect to the chicken that died for the meal. And the sides weren't any better, unfortunately. The mashed potatoes were dry and also too salty.In short, Chicken Mary's should be avoided at all cost if you're looking for good chicken. Strouds this is not.

Take out order. Got the Mary's plate. The chicken was very good. IMO it beat Annie's. The Mac and cheese was somewhat average as was the potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. The cheesecake was fairly good but a very slim slice.

It's an experience, and it's delicious. The setting is like stepping back in time to eat at your great grandma's house. The onion rings are incredible. It's worth going out of your way to experience.

Had this as a catered meal. It was ok. Definitely the least worse of the Mary's vs Annie's "feud". But still not even up to par with real fried chicken. Can't comment on at location service or ambiance. But food wise - meh.

We came from Missouri with our elderly mother to visit your restaurant after hearing so many good things about it. I'm sorry to say that our experience was quite the opposite. There were hardly any patrons in the restaurant but we waited to be seated by someone who finally came out of the back. We ordered water to drink and it was disgusting! It had such a bad metal taste and smell that we had to ask for bottled water instead. We orderedtwo appetizers that were obviously frozen and fried, not a good choice and could have bought a box of them for less at Walmart. $8.95 for 8 jalapeño poppers that are frozen in a box is a bit outrageous. Two of us ordered two breasts and a wing and our sides however, after waiting for a while for our chicken dinners, I received one breast, a wing and a back which all came to our table warm at best. Definitely not freshly cooked. The waitress who was sneezing and coughing around food and customers should see a doctor or stay at home. This was a very disappointing experience and after spending over $50 for our dinner, we will not be returning.

I have no idea what has changed. We have been coming here for years and the last few times of trying to get an order done timely and correctly have been horrible. Poor communication on curbside orders and incorrect items is growing frustrating.
