I loved Emily Kate’s when I first became gluten free several years ago, and I still think they are the best gluten free bakery in town, but I wish they had better dairy free options, and my last experience custom ordering was a mess.When I ordered it seemed my request wasn’t read fully— the worker who responded mixed up my request for dairy free with vegan.When I did receive my order the butter substitute wasn’t fully incorporated into the icing between the layers of my cake— so I bit into some big chunks of non dairy butter. The cake part was still good, but I am not a huge fan of their buttercream in the first place, and this icing was just bad.Still the best bakery in town for gluten free but I’m hoping to see more (and better) dairy free options on the menu, and I’ll probably stick to picking things up from Whole Foods or ordering from the menu for awhile.

I searched online to find a gf and v bakery in Kansas City. After reading reviews I felt like I hit the jackpot and guess what... I DID! We celebrated my Dads birthday and devoured the most flavorful carrot cake! My family who is not gf and v thought it was amazing! Anytime I need a special cake I will call Jay at Emily Kate's Bakery!

We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Emily Kate's Bakery! They were wonderful to work with during the planning process and the gluten free cake tasted amazing. Very difficult to find the bakery even with a GPS. It is in an industrial/commercial area. Ordering was very easy and simple. However, $55 is expensive for a cake, even if the cake is gluten-free and tasty as was the one I ordered.

Not only has my family been purchasing from Emily Kate's for years (and loved everything we've bought), my husband and I also ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from them. Our cake was beautiful and delicious (it was chocolate and salted caramel) and it was a hit! Our cupcakes were delicious as well, the guests didn't even realize they were gluten free. Ordering from them was so easy and stress free, I can't recommend them enough.

Hands down the best gluten free bakery I've ever tried. The quality is top notch and consistent. Its so nice, that not only do they take orders, but they also sell products at local businesses. Such as stores and coffee shops. It makes safe, gf items very accessible. The first time I got one of their cinnamon rolls from a local coffee shop, I took a bite and thought for sure they didn't give me a gluten free item. I thought it was just too good to be gf. But they certainly did give me a gf Emily Kate cinnamon roll. They're just that good. The cinnamon rolls, pop tarts and cakes are my favorite items but I've never tried an item that wasn't incredible. Its so nice to have a safe, good and local dedicated gluten free bakery. Much, much appreciated!

I ordered vegan chocolate cake with vanilla icing and it came exactly the same I was expecting, beautifully executed. I did request less sugar but due to set recipe they were not able to accommodate that request but when we tasted the cake, it had balanced sugar so I didn’t have regrets. I’m definitely coming back.

I ordered a chocolate cake for my husband's birthday and it was OUTSTANDING. The cake itself was light, the icing and chocolate were rich but not overpowering, and the design was exactly what I hoped it would be. My husband is not GF, and I knew he would be reluctant to eat cake from a GF bakery, but I took a chance. He loved the cake and ate half of it all by himself! He even admitted he was wrong, which was kind of like an early birthday present for me. ? Thank you, Emily Kate's, for the delicious birthday cake!

I have tried a few gluten free vegan bakeries and NOTHING compares to Emily Kate's! We got a valentines cookie cake for our son and it was sooooooo delicious and cute as well! I will definitely be ordering again.

When you pay over $40 for a custom order of 12 cookies, you should get what you pay for and not the wish version. The cookies are ugly and not at all what we talked about or agreed upon through our email conversation. An, oops I’m sorry here’s $15 back for embarrassingly ugly cookies instead of - wow our mistake can we refund you or remake them? Is very telling and shows lack of customer care.
