We love the market at meadowbrook. It has become our weekly tradition. Matcha and the butter cookie (so delicious). We’ve almost had everything on their menu and it does not disappoint. Overall we love the ambiance and location of this cafe the most. Something about the energy of the place makes it feel very cozy.

The roast beef sandwich was ice cold and they refused to heat it up for me! Surely they have a microwave? I just took the entire thing home in a to-go box and fixed it there. Very disappointing.

Outstanding, clean, quiet spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in PV. Friendly, professional staff offering good vibes and great food. Shhh🤫 Don’t tell everyone though!

Atmosphere was excellent, service was incredible. The food: dehydrated eggs. Literally eating an MRE.

Love the location but the Meadowbrook Market cafe food quality has really gone down . Low quality ingredients and very small portions . My Cobb salad was more like a side salad and the chicken was like something from a fast food restaurant . Would rather pay a bit more and have a better menu selection. Service is generally unfriendly to boot . Would stop by for a glass of wine / coffee to enjoy the area but no more dining at this spot .

The Market at Meadowbrook is a little gem nestled near Meadowbrook Park in Prairie Village, KS, and let me tell you, it's more than just a pit stop for a quick bite—it's a whole experience.

First off, the convenience factor here is on point. Parking is a breeze, and the whole setup is refreshingly simple: just walk up to the counter to order, and then find a cozy spot to settle in (inside & patio dining). But what really caught my eye (and taste buds) was the pastry case strategically placed right as you enter. It's a dangerous temptation, let me tell you. We ended up snagging a lemon bar to enjoy with our meal, and couldn't resist taking home a butter cookie and a triple chocolate cookie for later. Trust me, that chocolate cookie was memorable.

As for the main event—the food—well, let's just say it didn't disappoint. The Waldorf chicken salad sandwich was a recommendation from the friendly staff, and I'm so glad we took it. It was a refreshing sandwich, with just the right balance of crunch and creaminess. But the real star of the show? The sweet potato tots. Oh my goodness, those little bites of heaven were served piping hot and perfectly crisp. It's safe to say they were a hit at our table.

Overall, The Market at Meadowbrook is a winner in my book. It's got all the makings of a great spot: easygoing vibes, fresh and flavorful menu offerings, and those sweet treats that you just can't resist. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for a leisurely meal, this place definitely delivers.

Not kid friendly, ultimately. Their bathroom is in the hotel and it doesn't have a changing table, however the changing table in the family restroom (single stall) is always occupied with hotel and market staff. I've never not had to wait while holding my child only for an employee who just dropped a deuce to take forever coming out. I don't know if this is the policy or what, but your employees can use the regular bathroom or you can add a changing table to the regular bathroom. This ain't it chief. For the price of the market and verbena you'd expect more. Food is good and everyone is nice(ish) but this is just something I can't get past. I'm there too often as a patron, and as an overland Park resident, this park is subsidized by my tax dollars so do better. My only other option to change my baby is to walk 12 minutes to a park outhouse. as a patron that is unacceptable. You can't be located in a park and not be kid friendly, you're not that upscale. And there are a lot of moms (literally half the park on any given day is Moms with strollers) so I'll fall on this sword to speak up for all of us. I'm not the only one effected or bothered

Kid-friendliness: See my main review. Not baby friendly!!!

We sat on the patio with the Heidi McHale trio. Notably, this band was PERFECT in sound level. We could talk but still hear the singer clearly. The food was mostly good (2 of us ordered clam chowder but didn’t find any clams ??‍♀️) Our service was perfect from the Arizona college student. It was perfect for our 4-some on a lovely spring evening

What an adorable little spot for coffee and pastries, or breakfast & lunch. Took my folks here for Mother’s Day. They really loved the place. The lemon bars are super tart and delicious. Will definitely be back.

I went to this place last year and their menu completely changed. So just be prepared for that if you had come before. The menu isn’t so much kid friendly. However, they have great coffee and the atmosphere is great! I came with my husband and baby. It was nice to be able to walk around the park and get a coffee after!

The food never disappoints! I love the beet salad and tried something new with the Italian sandwich. Unfortunately, I was too late to partake of desserts. They used to make a carrot cake with sugared carrot bits that was in the top 3 for me, but they switched to a cupcake and, not sure why, does not have same taste to me. As far as service goes, it is hit or miss. Sunday the person was a little "not present" and I kept having to ask follow up questions. Additionally, too many tables inside had not been cleaned up making for limited available seating.
