I had an amazing experience at Va Bene! The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure my dining experience was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was prepared to perfection. I will definitely be returning to Va Bene in the future!
This has quickly become one of your regular favs! Great indoor/outdoor seating options, great drinks, and the best Italian we’ve found in KC

We visited on a Saturday evening in which there was no wait time. That should have clued us in to the quality of the food we were about to receive.
Atmosphere wise the restaurant was clean and cute, but there were several fruit flies in the air.
For an appetizer, we had the ricotta and focaccia as well as the meatballs. Those were both pretty good. The disappointment came in the entrees. The mafaldine was genuinely the worst dish I’ve been served at a restaurant. My whole group tried it and everyone was disgusted with it. It tasted bland and somehow dirty, like unwashed vegetables. We couldn’t eat it at all. The orecchiette was alright, as well as the sweet corn agnolotti. Every dish was severely lacking in salt and depth of flavor. We left every plate unfinished and did not take anything home with us.
The server was kind and friendly but not overly attentive.
Overall I would not return or waste my money at this restaurant.

My husband ordered the meatloaf openface sandwich special. It was a hunk of meat on a piece of dry toast with a small condiment bowl of mushroom gravy on the side. I ordered a pasta dish that sounded amazing, but was very bland and swimming in oil. We ordered an appetizer of focaccia bread and whipped ricotta cheese. This, too, was bland and disappointing. They did comp my entree, but if they hadn't, this meal would have been around $60. Not worth it. Will not be going back.

Found this place near where we were staying and absolutely love it. Our server was great, made good conversation and great recommendations. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed dinner with family and friends.
The food quality was excellent with a varied enough menu. The food value was acceptable; however, the wine prices (by the glass) seemed to be inflated.
Restaurant was empty Put a family with a 2 yr old immediately next to us The 2 yr old was a typical 2 yr old Loud Couldn't sit still Ruined dinner especially when there were 20 empty tables

Had a wonderful time here with my friend. The host gave us a warm welcome and got us seated as soon as possible even with no reservations. Our server Maggie was also amazing and made sure to check on us whenever possible. She also gave us good recommendations for dinner which were wonderful since both dishes were great. Will definitely be back!
