Va Bene Italian Eatery

Food was terrific. Most portions were great. Wish that they had not covered the rosemary potatoes with marinara sauce and that we had known the ravioli portion was small. The lasagna was the best! Wait-staff was amazing! Restaurant is a little noisy, especially as it filled up with diners, but not a huge problem.

Food was excellent especially the Bene salad. Splurged and had the tiramisu. So good. The restaurant wasn't busy and many open tables. Was a bit irritated that we were sat at a 2-top against the bar wall... wasn't a comfortable spot and certainly not warranted on a sparsely populated night. Guess reserving was not rewarded. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Loved food. Only one other table while we were there and service nonexistent. You have to ask for bread (we found out after meal). I will go back for food with understanding that service not worthy of tip (but we still tipped which contributes to problem)

It was a quite Saturday late lunch and it was wonderful! The grilled focaccia and mushroom arancini were excellent. We had the lasagna, the Gia sandwich which were both fantastic. Their Caesar salad is like none other! Great food, great service. We will be back!

Tasty food- our group tried a variety of items and everyone was happy. A bonus with beautiful evening, we sat outside. Service was terrific too!

Food was amazing. Our apps and entrees came out hot and at a decent time. You could tell everything was prepared in house. Looking forward to our next trip back.

We went to lunch and had the delicious fig and prosciutto pizza. I also had the fusilli and it was hot Temp wise and so delicious with the shrimp rolled in. We had a bottle of the Pinot Grigio very satisfying. The arancini is a must. We've had it other places and this is the best. All in all this restaurant is definitely in the top five in KC.

 the food here is always very consistent... Their pasta really really is delicious... Ever since they got their new pasta machine from Italy... The service is excellent. Our server was Zoe and she has been our server in the past... She spot on super friendly genuine... Thanks for a great evening.

Great food and service. Our only suggestion is that the chairs in the outside patio dining area are way too low for the height of the tables. It puts you in an awkward position and we heard others around us commenting about the same. 

Great spot for some good Italian dishes! Loved everything on the menu, grabbed a bottle of wine to pair with the food and had a great evening. Tables were laid out where we felt really close to the other diners, and the chairs were super stiff and uncomfortable to be able to really stay a long time. But it worked fine for while we were there.

The table bread and oil and vinegar dipping was probably the best part of the whole meal, we had to get seconds.

Great dinner right after work. We loved everything we had to eat — the calamari appetizer, fusilli, tagliatelle, and chocolate ganache cake. The pasta dishes were especially good!

My husband and I treat VB like our Cheers restaurant. We made a drink to share and walked there. We had barely sat and the manager came over and chided us “we cant have that here!” Very unfriendly. “Get rid of it.” It was almost empty. Couldn’t he ask if he could toss? Or something welcoming. We were ready to order a bottle of wine and dinner but we left instead. What’s wrong with people!! Never darken that door again and it was our weekly go to. And we’re not even that sensitive! 😩

Only had drinks this time. First visit. The music was great. Comfortable decor. Lots of outdoor seating. Looking forward to coming back for food. The drink in the pic is the Clearly Chocolate Martini.
