Verbena Restaurant

server recommended the duck as his favorite on the menu, really over sold it. it was very tough, had 2 bites and couldn't eat it, big waste of money. However, the parker rolls and linguini & clams were great. and the banana foster croissant bread pudding was delish.

I've dined at Verbena several times and found the food to be excellent but overpriced I imagine items are more costly due to corporate stays at linked hotel What was most disconcerting is that I chose a glass of red wine off the wine list and thought nothing more until I received the bill for $19 for a glass of wine I thought the menu said $9 Which it did but there were apparently 3 choices Two For glasses and one for a bottle The server did not ask me which size and decided on her own to sell me the higher price ( extra $10!) I went to Hostess and asked about this and both she and the server stayed this was common and what they normally do I said nope you ask the patron which size It's not up to the server but the patron Would you decide to set Evans charge a customer for a 16 oz steak when there was a 6 oz size without inquiring No you would not Same logic The two seemed seriously stymied I was asked if I'd like a refund to shame me I suppose Of course I said yes What should have happened was an immediate apology and for them to State of course we will refund you the difference not making me have to ask Professional servers are hard to come by I wonder if management supports up charging without backing or if the server wanted a larger tip based on total price of meal and wine?!?!

Food not as good (not as good choices and not as good overall) as other times. Great ambiance and low noise level.

This is a very attractive and comfortable restaurant with very tasty food and wine, and excellent service.

The Brit is always a favorite to start with and the steak dos not disappoint. The whole table helped finish a French press. So good!!

We really enjoyed our dinner! The atmosphere was fun/lively. The drinks were great, the service was wonderful and our meal was delicious. The outdoor space for dining and drinking is an added bonus!

We absolutely love dining at Verbena! The staff is excellent, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is superb. The crab cakes were the best I've had! The bang bang shrimp appetizer was scrumptious, and my husband had the pork chop, which was perfectly prepared! Every time we visit, we stay at the Inn at Meadowbrook and get our reservation for Verbena!

Emma was the quintessential essential professional server. I had the trout and was totally blown away how wonderful it was. Everything was perfect thank you

The restaurant was very pretty and the food was delicious. It had a classy relaxed vibe. We had an early dinner before a show and the food came out very timely. We liked that the menu had a variety of items so even someone who isn't a seafood fan had options. The area around the restaurant was great for a pre and post dinner walk. Their menu changes seasonally so we're looking forward to trying out future dishes.

Great lunch with a friend. Staff was attentive without hovering. Server suggestions, food, and drinks were superb!

It took 15 minutes to have someone even come to our table. Took 30 minutes to get the actual first drink. After that it improved immensely. My advice to them is to make sure you get your customers their drinks in no more than 10 minutes then catch up on your other duties.

Great food and a beautiful location. The patio at sunset is special.

Best dining experience with awesome food and great service. Our server, Matthew(sp?) gives great recommendations and told us what might be changing on the menu due to their menu changing with the seasons. Great outdoor space and our go to place for consistent food and service. Highly recommend the ceviche tostada and the roasted carrots (in season), but honestly we've never been disappointed with their food and beverage offerings.

One of the best experiences we've had dinning. All staff were so friendly and professional. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and they added such a special touch with a Happy Anniversary card signed by all the staff. What a special little touch. Food was amazing and service. Recommend for a happy hour or a romantic dinner. Thank you Verbena for making our anniversary dinner special.

We stayed at the hotel connected to the restaurant and ate here. It was the best bang bang shrimp and espresso martini I ever had. Wedge salad and my main grouper dish was perfect as well. It was my wife’s bday, and the whole staff signed a bday card and had it waiting on the table for her. We had the strawberry shortcake desert as well along with the vanilla icecream. Perfect!
