The menus are easy to read and simple, which helps for making quick decisions on your order. Everything has a description and price listed.
The tables were clean and our waitress was friendly. We got asked if we wanted more water twice while we were there (about an hour), which was a perfect amount. They also split our check correctly afterwards.
Now, the food. I had the curry ramen and chasu onigiri. The noodles were nice and bouncy, but did not look very authentic. The broth of my curry ramen was very light, as well. They could have gone a bit heavier on the salt or soy, as well as the curry flavor. But it wasn't bad. The onigiri was delicious. The pork in it was flavorful and soft, making it a perfect little flavor bomb.
4/5 ⭐ I would come back to try other flavors of their onigiri. As well as a different ramen flavor.

This restaurant has been open for a bit in Shawnee. It has a strong following of fans for a very good reason.
The dining room is small and cozy. There's also a bar where customer can sit in a row. The food is very flavorful. There are many different types of dishes to choose from. If you're a fan of pork, this is a good restaurant for you because they showcase it in a number of different ways and styles. The chicken wonton ramen is highly recommended and a popular pic for diners. They also offer appetizers in desserts. They're a number of beverages to choose from the compliment the Asian dishes.
Sides were delicious. But main dish was lacking a little in flavor. I got the unagi don bowl and ended up taking them out due to being too greasy and overpowering the seasonings used

Exceptional service, management and food. Service staff was friendly and courteous upon arrival. My husband and I ordered our food and everything went smoothly. When our ramen came out, we had a little issue with one of the orders and the staff took it away and brought out a new one with added extras. My husband and I enjoyed our ramen and as we were heading out to leave, they provided us an order of the ice cream mochi to go for the issue earlier. Very above par service from management. Will be coming back soon.

We came at peak dinner hour and sat at the counter. The kitchen was going non-stop. Despite the skeleton crew staff, service was quick and food was hot. Everything was delicious - we ordered takoyaki, the onigiri and karaage combo, an unagi don, and a Szechuan beef noodle bowl. Prices were very, very reasonable. There’s a wide selection of beverage options, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, Japanese and American, as well as full bottles of Japanese whiskey, sake, and plum wine for sale. The atmosphere is fun and well-decorated without going too far into anime-only territory, but lighting is a bit dark at the counter - if you need a lamp to read, take a booth instead. We will absolutely be returning!
