We had reservations at 6:30 and was seated immediately. Service was great. However, we ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and was served a medium well steak. It was taken back and and another one was brought. However, it was still cold on the inside and purple. We also ordered 2 strip steaks and we could not even chew them. They were ordered medium. The ranch potatoes were cold and not done. We were offered a free dessert which was not edible either. We used to love the Hereford house but not anymore. We would rather go to longhorn to get a much better steak.
Our waitress, Madison, was the best! The steak was perfectly cooked and my meatloaf was the best I've ever had. Great experience!
Love the bar at Hereford House. Our server, Madison, was attentive and great. Food was all great
Love a restaurant that serves Certified Hereford beef! We try to eat here whenever we're in KC
The food took a very long time to make it to our table. Wasn't expecting it be 45 minutes for two medium rare steaks, our server wasn't very attentive and didn't ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, she didn't bring bread until we asked about it, she didn't bring our food out, someone else did so no one asked us if our steak was prepped correctly. I was expecting a lot more our first time here for paying $50 for a steak and a baked potato. Very disappointing.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The Kansas City Strip was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, while the prime rib stew soup was tasty, as were the KC hot boneless wings. The quality of the food and attentive service created a wonderful dining experience with my wife on her birthday.
My rib eye steak had way too much gristle. Spent lots of time trying to separate meat from gristle
Great service, great food, what more can I say! Our server was attentive to our table of six. Steak prepared perfectly...desserts to die for. Highly recommend.
The only thing that wasn't great was the sangria. That is my personal preference though.

Had a 1715 reservation for my wife birthday dinner. We was seated earlier than expected in a booth as requested. Although we was seated in the bar area, it wasn't too bad. Waitress was attentive and gave us recommendations. My wife and I decided to go with the Duo for 99.00. Duo is a four course meal for two. Appetizer we had artichoke dip (pretty good). Next I had the Rib Stew while the wife had the salad. Those items was average. Next the main event, I had the Strip Steak and the wife had the Prime Rib. These steaks was awesome and seasoned very well. I really enjoy this place. Oh yeah, Seven Daughters Mascoto was delicious too.

Hostess did not want to seat us in a booth. Said all booths reserved for her 5:30 customers. We had a 5:15 reservation. We asked our waitress and she moved us to a booth she said ii was not reserved. Much better than being in the center of the room. Otherwise food and service were great.
Food was awesome and our waiter was very nice and personable. Not many people there for a Thursday night so hope they bounce back after road construction! The seasonal cocktails were great!!
Hereford House in Shawnee continues to be an amazing restaurant ... the food is tremendous, as is the ambience and service.
Honestly after eating I would've given the food a 4 out of 5 stars. The steak seemed to be cooked correctly and to order but I felt absolutely sick to my stomach an hour after leaving the restaurant. I had the Kansas city strip steak. It tasted fine, looked fine but my stomach is absolutely hurling after that unfortunately. Restaurant design and cleanliness is top notch. And service was great too didnt wait long and waitress was very kind and attentive to refills. Again I think this is Definitely worth a stop in I might have just got unlucky with the steak.

The Happy Hour menu is really a great deal! Has a range of options in a slightly smaller portion than their regular menu. The chicken fried chicken and the beef kabobs are our favorites. With the burger and tacos a close second. The onion rings and calamari are very good!
