THE BEST BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE! My husband and I found this place last year on February while at in KC for a conference. He decided to surprise me for my birthday with a day trip to KC (we live in Nebraska). His first stop was McLains and again, It. Did. Not. Disappoint. Already planning a trip to come back!! The owner was lovely to chat to (100% should branch out to Nebraska ?) Plus, our dogs were welcomed on the patio and even given peanut butter cookie crumbles for a dog treat.Vegetarian options: My plan is to have their veggie wrap next!! You can also get quite a few (if not all) menu options without meat.

I always eat here and food is good, but this is the third time I’ve ordered cheeseburger sliders and they were pink in through the burger. Now I’m laying in bed sick with what can be nothing but food poisoning. I’m highly disappointed.

As an older person, I felt out of place here. A lot of young people working on their computers all around the place. The bread selection for takeout was limited. The pastries were ok and the coffee was good.

I must say, I believe this is the best restaurant in Shawnee. It’s becoming a favorite of ours as we’ve loved the food each time. This was our first time dining in for lunch and the atmosphere is great too. Friendly staff, an array of products sold, and a beautiful setup for lots of natural light to come in, you’ll enjoy your time here.Personally, I love the amount of healthy options they have. This time I went with the harvest quinoa bowl. Very fresh with great ingredients.

Went there for my first time and was so impressed by the service! I was looking at the bakery cases and one gentleman made me a sample and answered any of my questions. I got an array of baked goods and every single one was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and try more!
One stop shop for everything you need to get your morning started right. Buttery croissants? They got it! Freshly brewed coffee? They got it too! Delicious sandwiches? Many selections on their menu. Seriously, you can't go wrong here. My friend introduced me to their sugar cookies a few months ago. I fell in love. I am Asian. I don't like anything overly sweet. Their sugar cookies had just the right of sweetest to my liking. And that is a huge compliment coming from me! I love that is located in Shawnee Downtown and they have a lot of parking space. The space is very bright, clean, and spacious. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. Such a cute place to hang out with friends and family. Highly recommend.

They had a great flow for customers so we were able to place our orders and get our food rather quickly. I ordered the half sandwich half salad option and I loved my salad! I got the Mediterranean/Greek salad and the dressing no was a bit sweet but it tasted so light and fresh. For my half sandwich I chose Turkey and the spread that they put on the sandwich was not my favorite, but otherwise it was tasty. I shared a side of fries with my husband and they tasted homemade which was definitely a plus! Overall I enjoyed grabbing lunch here and would definitely go back again.
