This was the most disappointing experience I’ve had. The kitchen in filthy! Health department should be involved. When receiving my silverware the waitress cleaned it off with her bare thumb to clean off the grime. Unacceptable. The silverware, the kitchen, and sanitation of this so called establishment is dissapointing. The waitress was not attentive nor caring.

Came in at 7:30. They didnt start hibachi till 8:30, hibachi side needs a lot of updates, looked dirty and very worn off and musty. Server kept floating around us and awkwardly picking up every piece after us acting like we need to go. When asked when it closes she said 9, when other times on Saturday they close at 10. It was my birthday and right after I blew candles out she stood over us waiting for us to leave picking everything up so didn’t even get to try my birthday cake.
Sushi was bland, hibachi wasn’t too bad, chef made experience better. Also charging 4.25$ for kids small half water half soda is a bit out of line. Clear soup was just water with onion. ?

Great place to pop in and have a quick sushi meal and get out. Staff is great and seem to be "right there" when you need them, it's uncanny, but fun.

My food was good but I think it was a little bit cold when they served it to me.

My husband ordered Japanese hibachi and his salad was too cold, frozen salad ?, fried rice and steak were too salty.

Service was fine, I think we sat their for a while until we could order food and when food got served.

Introducing one of my favorite places to get sushi in the greater Kansas City area: Sakura Sushi Train! Sakura has a sushi train that loops around the bar and is holding mini plates with sushi and appetizers. Having a hard time picking which sushi roll sounds the best? At Sakura, you can pick and choose which plates you want to enjoy. I also snag some dumplings, a ginger salad, and crab rangoons to start my meal off with. I usually grab 4-6 mini plates with 2-3 sushi pieces on them. There are three colored plates with different prices depending on what is being served on the plate. This spot may not look like much from the front, but you will leave fully and happy! If you are looking for a unique dining experience in the greater Kansas City area, Sakura is the place to visit!

Me and my daughter have been going since she was little and we have loved it ever since the workers love everyone who walk through that door plus they make sure the food is excellent. I've been to ton of sushi restaurants but this one is certainly my favorite!!!! Shootout to a worker named David he made us feel special and even memorized our orders, he even gave my daughter a nickname Tamago!!!!

I haven’t been in a while but I’ve had and attended birthday parties coming out parties and introduced 3 people to the joys Japanese food!
More than that the joys of specifically Sakura and Sushi!!
The staff have always gone out of their way to make sure things are as they should be!
And that’s awesome!
With much love I say give them a try you won’t regret it!
