Great experience at The Bar West. The atmosphere was excellent and everything ran smoothly thanks to the manager, Deaken, who clearly knows how to run a solid operation. Sarah and Devon provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and on point with recommendations. Overall, a fantastic bar with great staff and a vibe that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend.

My family and I have been going to Barwest for 10+ years. We have noticed this past year, their food quality has declined. We always order the same food. Carne asada wrap and a cheese burger. We can tell their quality in beef has gone way down and the price doesn’t reflect it. My family and I have always loved coming here as a local neighborhood restaurant but since the food quality hasn’t changed, the multiple times we have been here this year alone, it’s time for us to find another neighborhood restaurant to go to. I never thought I would ever write a bad review for Barwest but we just thought the owner should know. If the quality of food goes up, I will gladly take this review down.

My drink didn’t taste right and my food order came out wrong last night. It’s unfortunate to see such a high turnover with staff here. Barbie was really holding things together and making this place worth visiting, even with the little support she had.

This place used to be some of the best bar food in Shawnee. Something has changed. My sandwich was dry and cold when served. Rest of party wasn’t happy with their meals.
Always a great time at Bar West! It’s a great neighborhood spot. Devon, Meghan, Alex, Barbie, and Whitney are always so welcoming. Food is great! I love the tots and country fried steak. The green beans are fresh and phenomenal! Wish they didn’t have to use jiggers for every drink. It kinda slows things down and drinks can be weak, but other than that… Bar West is AWESOME!
