This is a clean place and love the service. The food is very good. I am sold on the Chicken Fried Steak.

Just enjoyed some fantastic food at Applewood! Had the Senior Chicken Strips. There were 2 huge pieces of chicken, the best sweet potato fries I've ever had, and some good coleslaw. Hubby had the small Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and corn. He took half of the chicken home. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and very competent. We will definitely eat there again!!

9/12/24. 14:30. Absolutely fantastic meal!! Service was spot on! Greeted with a smile and the great service never stopped. Very reasonable prices and a wide selection. I will definitely be back!!

Last time we were here...chicken was FANTASTIC this time...not so good

We stopped while traveling tonight. We checked their website and it said they closed at 9pm. We walked in about 7:40pm and the hostess said we close in about 10 minutes. We asked about their website closing time and she said no, 8pm. She offered to make us something to go. Another girl ran to the back and came back and said the cook had already closed down and cleaned the grill. So, we decided to leave. I have been in other restaurants a few times about 20 minutes until closing and they all happily invited us in and let us order. If they are going to shut down at 7:30 then they need to indicte that they close at 7:30 and not 8pm. As we drove away their "open" was still lit. Needless the next time we drive by, we will eat somewhere else regardless if they are open.

Very good meal. Been "twenty" years. Mouth watering for sure. I was very glad to get some photos. Especially to share with others. Quite impressed. Someday I will return here again! Service was excellent. Suggest Applewood restaurant to anyone.

The Sunday buffet at 11-2 is excellent. They carve whole ham and roast beef. Everything is like mum would have made. Homemade warm apple and peach cobblers, fruit salads, real mashed potatoes, and so much more. You will not be disappointed, fellow truckers.

Order off the menu. The chicken fried steak is awesome, really really good! I would stay away from the sub par Sunday brunch buffet.

Great place to eat when you have to spend the night. So far, every waitress is kind and attentive.
Only had one visit we're the cook was not on point.

Drove WAAAAYYYYY out of our way to come here. Only for the doors to be locked and they were closed. What a waste of nearly an hour. Guess we won't be eating here after all. At least have an answering machine that says you are closing early or SOMETHING. We called, but nobody answered and google said it was "busier than normal" so we thought they were too busy to answer.

Our meals were absolutely wonderful. Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetable. Kids' meals of chicken strips and fries were about the best in town! Way to go!

They want to be a restaurant at a truck stop. But they close early. If you want to have a meal. Make sure you are there early.
