Was massively disappointed in this place, the food and the severally sub-par service as i was looking forward to trying this place out on my upcoming adventure. When i arrived, it seemed as though with the 3 waitstaff they had on hand, it was an inconvenience to eat supper at 7pm even though they werent even busy. Got a water with lemon. The lemon rind was hard, dried out, and very brown, but the center was slimy.. Gross!! Still, i stuck it out and ordered some food. The menu is pretty pricy for no side options as they are extra. I got a bacon jam burger that was not on the correct cornbread loaf that was advertised and covered in mayonnaise with bacon pieces in it. Not what i would call a " bacon jam" by any means. It was drenched in the "jam," though, with a small burger patty in the middle. It was not advertised as being mayo based, nor would anyone assume it would be, or I'd have ordered something else for sure. For $15 with no side in an of itself is ridiculous. My child got a "homeade mac and cheese" that was from a box in a small bowl for $13, which was also not what it was portrayed as it being. Unless you are a local, which i saw get treated very well. You will have bad service as they apparently hate outsiders. Horrendous experience, which is quite unfortunate.

We were driving back home to Denver and had zero expectations of finding good food in Syracuse, Kansas. To say that we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The food was amazing. The waitress was competent and attentive. They have a serve yourself salad bar. We ordered 5 different things and no one had any complaints. It was worth every penny and in my opinion, you should definitely try their food. The grilled cheese burger is what I got, and it was the best burger I've had at a restaurant in years.
Wheelchair accessibility: It would be a tight squeeze through the door, but they have low tables that you can wheel right up to and eat comfortably from.

The good: The waitress seemed polished, happy, professional. Nice atmosphere. The renovation looked like quality work in a century old building. Good crushed ice. The bad: Once or food was delivered, no one came to check on us or bring the check. The ugly: We both ordered hamburgers. Neither patty came complete and both were very small, and came in pieces. Bacon was undercooked. The flavor of the sauce nearly masked the low quality of the meat. I won’t return. 4 star prices for less than fast food quality.

Parking: You've got the whole town to park in! Go see'em! Eat really good food and talk with good people. Steaks are best I've had since the 1970s.

B.S.A. - Basil, spinach, avocado, provolone, Swiss, and feta cheeses, served lightly grilled on your choice of bread or wrap.
Salad Bar - Buy one trip or unlimited. Mixed greens, cucumber, cherry tomato, sunflower seeds, croutons, cheddar cheese, etc. I liked the pasta salad with fresh zucchini and vegetables. There were also cold salads with mayonnaise that I didn't try.
Side of steamed vegetables - Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots
