This was roughly 2 months ago.After going and enjoying this pie, I tried to go back.Looks like they maybe under remodel.I know that the pizza had a nice firm crisp, slight flop, and was very hot and tasty.Ordered as a to go order. But ended up having a few drinks and enjoying the bartenders company and the 2 regulars.Will try to go back after opening.

Had pizza and drinks here about a week ago with a relative. Pizza was really good. Surprisingly good. Service was okay, not great. Loved the atmosphere. Place has more of a "pub" type atmosphere rather than a pizza parlor atmosphere. Prices were good. Lots of menu options. Good experience; I'll be coming back.

Why oh why cannot Topeka match up with Manhattan. Is it not the same? They are both AJ,'s. MANHATTAN IS DELICIOUS AMAZING AND Topeka has parts that are not even connected. Toppings in Topeka seem old. And just placed on top of the pizza. The pizza in Topeka was premade individual slices, not made when you order it. When asked they said we thought you were in a hurry. The picture below is pizza from Manhattan KS. It was made at the same time and was Delicious. No huge chunks of meat just thrown on the pizza. Will Aj's in Topeka go away like Old Chicago did because of subpar service? In Manhattan they thrive they do both Old Chicago and AJ,'s

Pizza delicious and staff very friendly. Group of 5 ordered slices, boneless wings, cinnamon knots, and Tall grass Buffalo Sweat. Slices were: chicken bacon ranch, BBQ chicken, grilled cheese, white pie, jalapeno popper, and make your own meatball, green and banana peppers. All good and highly recommend them all. Would definitely go back. Big slices and great New York style crust.
Good food but needs a good cleaning and new decor. Could us friendlier staff, as well.

The service was ok, our waiter didn't come to check on us. I had to go to the bar for what I needed and he wasn't very friendly either. The pizza is not as good as I hoped for.

Horrible service, went in waitresses we're bickering with each other. Draft beer cooler broken. Paid for our meal with a tip, if I would of had choice I wouldn't of tipped. Brought appetizer but had to ask for silverware. Brought pizza out and was very good. Noone ever came back around to see if it was good or we wanted another beer. I have always heard such great things about this place. Guess you should order and take home.

We stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening on our drive back to KCMO after having spent the afternoon at two museums in Abilene and Wamego, KS. We ordered our pizza at the front counter, grabbed a corner high top table in the back, and our pizza was brought to us very fast. Their NY style pizza is so delicious. They also have super friendly staff: 1) the original guy at the front counter who took our order late came over to ask how it tastes; 2) the waitress who brought out our pizza asked if we needed anything else and brought me a side of Ranch dressing very fast; and 3) the bartender my husband had ordered a few beers from was very nice, even asked us how our pizza was, gave us a leftover container, and said to inform if if we need anything else.
