The food availability was scanty, 1/2 the menu options were unavailable. 3 of us were served way over cooked beef on stale buns. 3 young boys continued running through the patio, unsupervised. However, the manager eventually apologized for the poor quality of food and gave us a discount on the dinners.

Ate here last Friday during lunch hours. Never had a stringy and chewy burger but it was by far the worst quality I have ever experienced. Frozen patty would have been far better.

From the moment the group sat down the waitress made us aware there supply truck never arrived so they were out of a lot of their normal items and drinks . No big deal . asked for a drink menu was told they don’t have them . So she recommended a drink which I accepted . While waiting for drinks we ordered some starters . To which we were all pretty disappointed . Barn balls had very little ingredients besides hashbrowns might as well call them that if you ask me . Someone else in the group had to continue changing his drink of choice for the simple fact they kept running out everything ordered . The most pleasant experience was the fact that there was a dog in the bar .. even though it’s disgusting to think about , he was very sweet and I enjoyed his presence even though every time I tried to pet said dog the owner would immediately call him back.. why would you have him running around if he can’t be pet? Or is it just the simple fact that a black person was petting him ? Either way the only decent food was the cheese fries and the wings were ok . Sauce could’ve been better . I honestly would’ve gave 0s across the board if I could’ve but I know the waitress isn’t to be blamed , she was attentive . Bartender not so much. The craziest part about it is this work group had the most people in the bar at the time and could’ve easily spent hundreds of dollars here and be regulars, But simply for the lack of service and food choice I guarantee we will never return .

Virtually all food is freshly prepared, and hand breaded in house. No freezer to the fryer or grill here. Pork Tenderloin is easily the best in Kansas and all other selections on their well thought out menu are large portions and delicious. I managed bars, casual and fine dining restaurants for 40 years and they do things right here. Management is hands on and caring as the results show. Servers were hard working and friendly. There will be lines outside in the near future I am sure. Best casual food in Topeka! Can't wait to go back and try more menu items. If you go away hungry here you are a contender for the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.

I asked for onion rings and had to pay extra, and when they arrived, I received 4 total rings. The other meal ordered got fries, and they were so soggy from soaking in grease and also cold.

Ive been there four times in the last month. I'm done! Three of us went there at 3:30. No one there but us. Waitress must have been on day one with no help. There was a homeless woman passed out at the bar. Waitress didn't bring a BBQ menu so we asked for one. She told us there was no BBQ today. I told her I called earlier and was told they did. She goes and check, comes back with BBQ menus, tells us they were out of chicken and pork. Beer was room temperature. I ordered a half pound of brisket and a half pound of Sausage. It took twenty five minutes to get our food which has already been cooked. Bill came to $39 ! I would really like to support the place. They do produce excellent smoked meats but the obvious lack of any kind of management after four visits is enough for me.

Service was great. The fried tenders are fresh chicken, fried pickles were amazing and the hamburger was the best we've ever had. Thank you!
