Stopped in here during a visit to Topeka but since my sister lives there she's a more frequent visitor. They have good coffee and the overall look and ambiance is also good. We had planned to have a light meal there after an appointment I had that ended after 5:00. Online it said they were open until 10:00, when we got there we found out it was only until 8:00. That was fine, as I didn't want to be too late driving back to Overland Park. However, there's no mention on their website regarding the fact that they no longer serve food, other than what's in their pastry case, after 4:00. šŸ˜ž Definitely pertinent information that should be on the website. So we had a choice of one kind of quiche for our meal. The quiche was okay but it got warmed up by microwave and so parts of it were initially quite warm and most of it was cold. Some quiche I can do cold this didn't happen to be one that I enjoyed that way. It was okay but pricey for the size you got and nothing memorable about it. The single staff person that was there was nice but did not go out of her way to really engage. That's kind of a highly desirable quality for coffee shop staff in my opinion. So overall I would certainly go back again, but not expecting anything other than coffee drinks or tea.

went in for the first time. food is good, but we noticed while we were in there that everything was upcharged on our receipt and not on the actual menu. couldnt even talk to someone because they were too busy. wonder how many people get screwed over because they dont double check their receipts.

Vegetarian options: I've been here a couple of times and I just can't say enough good things about this little out of the way gem. The decor is just great to relax and sip some nice coffee, plain old school coffee or let yourself go wild for the specialty blends. There's couches, tables, a bar, a couple of cool chairs that just swallow you in comfort. A back entrance that goes right into the parking lot. Free Wi-Fi, lots of friendly customers. The food is fresh and there's something for every taste. Even pastries that melt in the mouth. I met a long time friend and we enjoyed our coffee so much that we lost track of time. The porcelain cups are huge! Right by Washburn University. It's not clickish but just a nice place for lounging and catching up with friends and working on your laptop, if you like. I could literally just spend the day there. If you want to get away from the office and relax quietly while you catch up on some light work... this is the place for you. Nice place for a casual business meeting as well.

Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of seating options and with a very friendly staff getting help wouldn't be a problem

They had a LGBTQ karaoke night. The singing was terrible but the memories are great! The staff made me a mock-tail that was delicious! I’ve been there a couple time since, each time was pleasant.

Parking: There is parking on the street and behind or to the side of the coffee bar. Decent space for parking.

Kid-friendliness: Not a place I have ever seen a kid in. Very much so college vibe coffee bar.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is easy to get in with a wheelchair. No stairs.

A spacious cafĆ© with a wide selection of espresso-based drinks and a cozy ambience. The lattes are enjoyable, and there’s plenty of seating for working on your laptop or hanging out with friends.

Would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy! Been here plenty of times and never had an issue until today. It’s totally fine if Wi-Fi is for paying customers only. However that should be seen in writing by customers at the table clear as day instead of having to embarrass a customer in front of everyone. I’ve seen multiple students and others come in here and not get a thing whatsoever but for some reason I was singled out today for minding my own business. I was actually planning on getting something but I wasn’t ready just yet. Girl comes out and asks me ā€œwhat can I get youā€ at my table. Plenty of other folks at tables that I clearly saw did not get any food or drinks and were on their laptops. Terrible customer service and the coffee is overpriced for what it is. I’ve tipped every time I’ve been to this establishment and wish I wouldn’t have now. They don’t deserve it. Would not recommend this place to anyone whatsoever.
