Good food at a fair price
First time visit on an extremely busy Thanksgiving at opening. Couldn't have asked for better service or food.

Cold coffee, arguing employees, cold food. Hopefully it was a one off and the crew was having a tough morning. The only bright spot was the server and store clerk were friendly.
Cozy atmosphere, great food & friendly staff. I especially that they have a cozy fireplace to enhance our dining experience
They tried to return from woke and failed. Food was cold, poor quality as compared to previous visits. Waitress was overworked. She had two many tables to be efficient. Poor service was not her fault. I appreciate their right to run their business as they see fit. I reserve the right not to cater to their establishment.

I was an over the road truck driver for 12 years and have dined at Cracker Barrel is restaurants all over this great nation. I've never had a bad experience at any of them. Nothing but excellent service, excellent food, and excellent atmosphere at every one of them. And the Topeka location is right up there with the best of them.
As always the food was heavy and flavorless. The food feels like it's designed to cater to an older crowd therefore resulting in a lack of any kind of seasoning or flavor. This makes it just a step short of eating at a K&W. The only reason I ate here this go round was a business meet up and not my choosing. Oh and the egg hash brown casserole monstrosity ... who in the name of atherosclerosis thought that up ?! What happened to regular breakfast potatoes for people who might like to live a few extra years ? Some people don't like everything smothered in gravy or cheese to make it taste good.
