Edited in 2024***Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone downhill. It was my go-to for pan-fried tacos, but I will not be back. On my most recent visit the restaurant wasn't busy - there were two other tables when we arrived. The flavor and cooking of the food have changed - lacking flavor. The staff seemed bothered that we were there but enjoyed speaking to the other two tables. And while this may not seem like a huge deal - the menus were very dirty. Sticky menus are not a great way to start off a restaurant experience.We won't be back.

Ordered through DoorDash. They gave the driver only a third of our order. And the part of the order we did receive was damaged.
How in the hell are you gonna only have 2 staff. You have multiple people here waiting for there food, about 8 people waiting for there carry out orders The owner should be embarrassed. The food was great, only waited over an hr for it. I see why people come here for the food but not having staff to cover the customers is un acceptable.. You can do better.

The only problem I have is we left a 10 dollar tip at the table and our waiter checked us out when we were leaving and the next day we looked at our receipt and they added another 10 tip on top of that with out us knowing....not happy and everything I call to talk to manager they aren't there...

Went to El Gallos last and the food is awesome and the young guy that was our waiter is the best!!
Not much else to say but this is the most authentic food from south of the border that I've had in the entire Midwest region. From Arkansas to Missouri through Kansas this is hands down the best representation I could find.Thank you for remaining authentic, from flavors to plates.Sorry Guys I ate the food before I thought to take a pic.⭐

Ordered in through door dash, may have arrived cold but everything was correct. Regardless of the temperature, food is damn good. I can only imagine how it is fresh and hot out of the kitchen. ??

Ordered pan fried ground beef tacos via DoorDash on 1/16. They were ok, not great. Decided to try shredded beef pan fry tacos today 1/18 via DoorDash. I recv’d ground beef again. Called the restaurant and the guy said they were out of shredded beef, so they gave me ground beef. I said I would have preferred a phone call because I would have picked chicken. I asked to speak to the mgr and he hung up on me. This and the fact that I just read another review about cockroaches gets El Gallo off my list. Gross.

My Dad and his friend went in for a dinner meet up tonight for some Mexican and didn’t have a great experience. It ended up when one of them got their food he had found a cockroach in his meal! That’s an automatic never going again. A time before the food wasn’t too great and service just wasn’t at its
