This is the best thrift shop in Topeka, in my opinion. Everything is arranged nicely and it’s all very clean. Very rarely do I see anything that is chipped or cracked.
Edit-3 years later. Gods Storehouse is obviously buying in to the “raise prices because of resellers” epidemic. Their prices are getting a little crazy considering it’s all donated. The west side store is so crowded, wish they would expand like they said they were going to.
They are great I would love to work there in the future
Will never donate to this place!! They only about money!! Not helping people!!!
Really cool place
THEY ARE THROWING AWAY CLEAN, HIGH QUALITY BOOKS! (See photos of clean book in this review) ?
Do not donate to this organization they are extremely wasteful and throw away a lot of perfectly fine donations (they have no system for dealing with extra inventory that is perfectly fine so they throw it away) Go somewhere else to donate. That said, they do have a lot of nice items worth checking out for purchase.
Suggestion to God's Store House:
PLEASE make a "FREE ITEMS" Table (or bin as another customer suggested) outside during the day and allow people to get what they want of it, throw any remaining items away only at the end of each day (this will reduce waste exponentially. And of course I'll update my review.)
Be wise not wasteful.
Decent stuff, good price.
Pretty bad coffee and this whole thing is a front so the owner doesn’t have to pay his employees or his taxes
I never know what I will end up finding here, but I sold them leave without finding something I want. I like to shop here for their craft section and their kitchen section.
Met Christian today at the coffee shop. Best iced latte I've had in awhile, and excellent customer service. In and out in less than 3 minutes. AND $2.50 for premium coffee?!?! INCLUDING a $2 Tip it was still cheaper than the franchise stores. Stop wasting your money. Support local business! 6 Stars ?
Ok.... My wife is the thrifter I just follow along. On a recent road trip we stopped here in Topeka at the thrift store. I would give it a 5 plus it was so clean and well-organized. Bathroom is very clean and well appointed and the changing rooms open. My wife agreed with everything, that said 4.0 due to what she thought were high prices. So husbands if you have a chance direct your wife to this thrift store. Did I mention great bathrooms!

Love this place but their clothing is a little high priced.
My favorite place to shop for anything, good prices, and great management.
I love that it’s a Christian organization, but their prices are expensive. I’m not going to pay $5 for a cheap Wal-Mart brand. It’s nicely organized but the prices are just too high.
God's storehouse throws donated items away and blocks homeless people from dumpsters diving. They could easily give the items to let's help, doorstep, the mission or have a free bin but they would prefer to toss them. Please donate to let's help, door step or the Topeka rescue mission- they GIVE not sell your items to people in need.
I used to think better of this place until I called to donate a couch and recliner. Two guys came to pick them up and they were rather condescending, with one saying he thought they'd take the recliner but not the couch, as it was "too worn" I do not agree with him, I think it's fine and have seen "worn" stuff at God's Storehouse. He wouldn't answer when I asked if I knew where the couch could be dropped off elsewhere. I"ll think twice about donating again, or shopping there.
