I have been a long time customer of this Topeka landmark and have found their fare and service to be pretty good. As far as traditional diner breakfast goes they do a good job and are much better than national chains offering similar breakfast menus (which isn't saying a lot). But for the past few years their prices have skyrocketed to where I can say I probably won't be back very soon. Yesterday I had their standard "Choose your meat" breakfast which in my case included 2 eggs (not cooked properly over medium), hash browns, 4 link sausages and two pancakes (a $3.99 up charge). I only had water to drink and my bill before tip was $20.43! I'm sorry but this is the kind of price gouging that is contributing to the bogus inflation we are seeing everyday. I know what eggs, a cup of flour, a potato, etc. cost (particularly wholesale) and there isn't that much value added for preparing and serving them!

Review is late, didnt think about writing one until it was suggested. Ate our breakfast here in August. I had corned beef hash, it was barely edible. Thr hash and potatoes were cold. The eggs were undercooked. The person eating with me had French toast. One side of it was almost burnt and the flip side you could see the uncooked egg whites. The coffee was awful. It had grounds in it and tasted old. Server had zero personality and when we told her about the problems with our order she blew us off.

Warm atmosphere. The server Sherry was fantastic. Made us feel right at home! The food was delicious and the biscuits were incredible. We got a chicken fried steak bowl and a corned beef bowl. Both were awesome. Meals came out very quickly. 10/10 I would definitely come back when in town.

I lived in Topeka a very long time seen this place a million times decided to stop yesterday morning and OMG what a gem!! Out waitress was so friendly and informative and the place was nice and clean and welcoming! Let's talk about the veggie and cheese quiche I ha with that darn flakiest crust I have ever had in my life!!!! The hash browns were soft like pillows with a crusty top and the grits were soft an yum!!! Had a few bites of those yummy pancakes as well I'm on Missouri and I'm ready to go get some to go and actually I brought some to go as well!! Try this place it is delightful!!!!
