Henry’s quickly became a must have for me. The ribs and brisket are amazing. The cheesy taters and beans are to die for! And the service is above and beyond. Great every time!

Passing through in a road trip, I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. It was the barbecue I've ever had, which was really surprising considering its strange location. I asked the guy behind the counter if he preferred the beef or the pork and he offered to give me half of each! Great barbecue, great slaw, and great customer service.

Stopped at Evel Knievel's Museum in Topeka with a group of 33 adults. We were able to get great barbeque sandwiches and the fixin's without waiting for a long time. Lunch was the perfect top-off for a great visit to the Harley Davidson and Knievel Museums.

Before getting started at the Museum, I had lunch today at Black Dog. A plate of chopped brisket was just what I wanted, as you can see from the picture and served with cole slaw. Moist but needing a little bit of sauce. Cole slaw was crispy and had a nice vinegar bite to it.They have a soda fountain and urns of tea. There is a free wifi signal here though it's not theirs.[Review 11419 overall, 1196 of 2019.]

Never would have found this without local hotel staff recommendations but SO glad we asked! It’s a combo sit down restaurant and deli. Burnt ends were great! Brisket was good.very filling. Great assortment of BBQ sauces which can be purchased.

This bbq grill is located in the same building as the Harley dealership and Evel Knievel Museum. It’s kind of a tourist trap and I felt that the food is mediocre. Not terrible, not the best either. However, it was affordable and definitely fed our group of 16 people. I liken the food to something that would be served at a work picnic or gathering.

I always forget about this little gem. The hours are quirky but the food is amazing. Today was a special on burnt ends. I'm always hesitant about burnt ends because so many places serve chopped brisket which is not the same. But these were authentic, brisket point, caramelized, meat candy. They did add some shredded brisket, I assume as a filler, but with the generous portion I didn't mind it. That along with their famous cheesy potatoes and a drink for 8.65. Burnt ends are only served on Wednesday (because true burnt ends are not as plentiful) but if you're there another day try any one of their smoky meats.

Simple and delicious bbq! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We had the brisket and cheesy taters. I would totally order it again!

We stopped at Henry's BBQ (AKA Black Dog BBQ) for lunch during a tour of the museum. I was very pleased and enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich with a side of beer beans. My husband also got the pulled pork sandwich, but he got Scooters Slaw for his side. The sandwich has a nice smoked quality to the pork. I used the regular barbecue sauce. They also offer a spicy BBQ sauce. For dessert, you can get homemade brownies or icecream sandwiches or Klondike bars. Other BBQ meats include brisket and smoked turkey. Check out their menu for specials each day including breakfast on Saturday. Specials include smoked meatloaf, ribs, smoked chicken and other selections that I can't remember. Seating includes booths and tables. The restaurant is clean and the seating is very comfortable. The restaurant is located next to the Harley Showroom, so when you finish dining, you can talk through the showroom. There is a large shop on the north side for Harley branded clothing and accessories for every in your family.
