As soon as you go to order the gentleman at the counter has an energy and vibe to him that you gravitate to. The magazines articles and newspaper clippings on the wall demonstrate a passion for what they are doing and it shows up in their food!
Pad thai- just amazing, and will definitely go out of my way to make sure I get some more lol.
Fried rice with chicken added- was very good. Had a fish taste that I have never had in a fried rice but it worked.
Yellow curry with chicken- creamy and potatoes, carrots and onions were a nice added texture. The rice that came with it was completely gone, halfway through the massive container of curry was eaten.
Take out only for most of the week! Take note of this! Call in your order!
Oh and dont miss out on the thai tea! Really good as well!
Thank you Jongs! We will be back!

Just came in to pick up an order.. the service at Jongs is 2nd to NONE!! They were exceptionally helpful and patient while placing our order and sharing recommendations over the phone, taking us through each of the options, then even apologizing for the order being expected to take 30-45 minutes while they have their dinner rush starting (which I completely wasn’t expecting to get the food quickly to begin with). The order came out even sooner and they gave us a courtesy call to let us know! And.. cherry on top - the food is by far the BEST Thai food ever. We got the green curry and Linda’s sweet chili noodles, I highly recommend trying. These guys are such a pleasant surprise and seem to be an absolute gem in Topeka. We will definitely be coming back many, many times! I hope these guys see this and know what they are doing is truly amazing.

My husband and I tried Jong's Thai Kitchen for the first time and wow it was so good. I haven't had Thai food this good in years and the staff was so kind, I didn't think customer service like that existed anymore. 10/10 all round!

Initially when I drove down 12th Street and I noticed Jong's i was really excited! It looked cool and inviting, a hip little storefront Thai Cafe. So on my way to go do some work mental note to come back for lunch a little later on my return trip. Just ever so slightly after 1:00 I entered the building without really being noticed. I awkwardly approached the counter not knowing exactly what to do and I inquired about maybe getting a little lunch. I was hand to menu and given no further instruction or information so I made myself comfortable in a chair on the wall seemingly there was no other place to sit. I approached the counter after several minutes a reviewing the menu and I asked a few common questions for any Thai restaurant. It would seem one of my requests would be fulfilled utilizing a dinner menu option. So I ordered that something similar to pho and some steamed dumplings. I asked where I might be able to sit but the answer given to my surprise was all orders after 1:00 are considered takeout. Not being from the area this certainly presented a problem. But I guess it's not the first time I would eat in the car. Certainly not ideal for what I had ordered. At the time there were several people dining in the restaurant a table of four ladies, a two top and a single. I don't see how accommodating me by myself what if complicated matters at all. I mean I get it having spent three decades in the service industry myself you need time to switch over for the dinner shift and downtime and prep time is important. I was asked if I would like my pho separated into containers for easier consumption? I just laughed I said no go ahead and put it in one container I'll just take it home. 50 minutes away.....
Upon my departure I told the gentleman at the counter how off-putting it was to not be able to sit and dine on the food I had just ordered and he just apologized. The dumplings we're delicious in the front seat of my car. The sauce was reminiscent of hoisin but certainly altered and unique in its deliciousness. The crab rangoon albeit small we're also delicious. I want to know how my entree is for about an hour after I get home. Hopefully it's not ice cold or at least it reheats well. Some simple ideas to make this experience better?? The installation of a lunch counter for individuals in a hurry like myself that wanted to grab a bite a little later in the afternoon. I told the gentleman as a single diner I would have been out of there likely within about 30 minutes easily the same amount of time that those other diners world likely finish up.. this is just a reminder you're in the service industry do better!

Great food with service and very reasonable prices. Very pleasant atmosphere and comfortable because seating is not crowded.
There was no rush and we had a great evening. This is our go to restaurant for a special meal when we entertain ourselves and with guests. Make reservations and it's worth the wait.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserves it.
The food is always exceptional, never had something I didn't like.
What makes Jong's stand out is the service - owners are always gracious and genuinely care. You can tell they value their customers, and it stands out.
Only downside is limited dine-in availability, but it makes it all the more special when you do get a table. Don't let that deter you though, take-out is always worth it! You won't be disappointed.

Incredible food and even better people. Everything is excellent but my personal favorites are Linda Noodles, Garlic Chicken and the Massaman Curry.

Best food in Topeka hands down Owner comes to table introduces himself and brings us extra pork dumplings just to be nice. then he brings to the table tempura green beans with a brown sauce and fried garlic and onion(outstanding). As he packs up our to go boxes his wife comes and brings us the best mango ice cream I have ever had. You have to make reservations in advance, however it is worth it. It is basically Michelin star food served in a no nonsense diner atmosphere, wood chairs, tables, regular paper napkin, regular silverware, no fancy flatware or goofy dishes and nice table clothes etc. It is simple amazing food at a good price that is not overly complicated, and that is why they are booked 6 weeks in advance for dine in. Just go and try it!!!! It will be the best dinning experience you will get in Topeka, trust me I know......
