Great food, friendly staff, awesome happy hour deals, and an overall wonderful place for Mexican and TexMex. The menu has great items and the drinks are good.
Great food, great service, but the frozen margaritas could be a little bit more frozen
Very disappointed in our last order. Overreaction? Maybe. But it was an online order on 6/11/25 and they shorted us an entire meal. And when we called to let them know, the only remediation was to drive all the way back and pick it up. I regrettably chose this as my birthday dinner and they completely ruined the dinner. Based on how long it probably took to put the food in the bag, they were pre-tipped at a rate of $240/hr...and they screwed it up. No offer to refund the meal or anything. And we got put on hold twice. And now I sit here on my birthday, waiting for my wife to come back from across town while our food gets cold and my hungry 5 year old whines about being hungry, asking where his food is. Thanks Topeka Jose Peppers - long time customer, and I like your food, but I'm done with you now.
Our server Ms. Jasmine was awesome. My chicken and steak fajitas were seasoned and tender. My Sangria Swirl drink was great. I enjoyed my meal.
I spent $45.34 at this place only to be disappointed. I will NEVER get the CCQ burrito platter again! It's suppose to have carnita's and ground beef in it however, the only thing I tasted and seen was refried beans. Needless to say that was $14.49 down the drain. Also, they failed to give me one of my bags of chips and the salsa cups were half full. In addition, I did not get my corn masa (I believe that's what it's called) in my pollo magnifico. When I called to talk to someone who I believed acted like the manager he tells me they are getting rid of the corn masa (which I feel I should have been informed about in the first place) and then he tries to claim the burrito is made like that all the time, which is not true because that was not the first time I had that burrito. The only thing that was right was the pollo magnifico, so it seems like I paid over $45 for the two pollo magnifico that were on the special menu for $9.99. So disappointed because the quality of food is just not like it use to be!
So there were a whopping 3 other customers here sitting at the bar with their drinks. I walked up to the bar to pick up my order. There were 2 employees doing the silverware and 4 others on the other side of the bar sweeping stuff, one looked like she might even been on a break because she's eating. I was standing there for about 4 or 5 minutes before anybody even acknowledged that I was there.
There must have been a break in the conversation because at that point one of the employees came over and asked me if I was just picking up an order. I told her the name on the order and she went to the back to check and when she came outof the kitchen she went back over and talked with the other people that were cleaning.
Shortly after that she came over and told me that somebody else was working on the order and it should be ready in a couple minutes. My order did come out just a couple minutes later.
I'm not trying to leave a bad review but I want to apologize for interrupting the employee's conversations and trying to pick up an order that I placed online. Also I arrived there probably about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and it was still being prepared. I would understand if it was busy, but like I said the only other customers there were three people who I hope are only getting drinks because that's all they had in front of them.

I’m giving this joint a One Star simply because there isn’t an option for a 1/2 star.
Worst Mexican restaurant on the planet!
Basically it’s a chain that employs kids with no culinary skills to slather hot melted cheese on top of overcooked food .
Also the restaurant is not sanitary and clean. There is grease and debris everywhere you turn.
But if you enjoy eating crap food in a disgusting setting then this is the place for you.

They will ignore your presence until you set what they don't want you.
Waitresses are rude and quite condescending. Staff seems sloppy about the placement of food

Hadn't been there in a while and not much had changed. Pretty much same menu from years past. Server at bar was friendly but seemed to rush the order. Good salsa and chips and the chicken chorizo burrito was very filling and tasty.

Never disappoints. Tasty tex-mex cuisine along with Midwest hospitality and service. Try the seafood enchilada plate. Terrific. THE BEST fresh chips with salsa or queso.
