I rarely give out 5 stars but this place has earned it, I got the cup of heaven and all the meat was done perfectly. The baked beans were probably my favorite next to the “world famous “ potatoes, definitely eat here if you want some good BBQ.

It’s a sad excuse for BBQ. What kind of BBQ place has no smoked ribs? Lonnie’s. What kind of BBQ place has runny vinegary BBQ sauce that makes you pucker? Lonnie’s. Why vinegar ? It's bad. What BBQ brisket doesn’t taste like it’s smoked? Lonnie’s. I do NOT recommend. I’m not going back. People in Topeka don’t know what good BBQ is. Hog Wild is better than Lonnie’s and Hog Wild is only mediocre.

Stopped in as out-of-towners on a road trip from Texas. Absolutely delicious, a bit salty ribs for my taste but they were fall off the bone tender. Cheesy potatoes were surprisingly delicious. Wanted to dock a star for no banana pudding but the food was just too good. Hospitality was splendid. If ever in Topeka again coming straight here for dinner.
