The service is as poor as the beer is fantastic. Every time I have visited this restaurant either with my significant other or with friends, we are left waiting for the rudest servers – even when it is slow. During one visit with friends, we hadn't seen our waitress for a while and I wanted a refill of my water. As another waitress passed by, I asked if I could get a refill of water.Instead of a helpful, "Let me find your server", she said, curtly "That's not my job." And walked away. I have never been so disrespected before.I have been here three or four times and while the food and beer are phenomenal, the staff and service keep me from ever wanting to visit again. I suggest the management and ownership take a good, hard look at their staff and make some much-needed changes.

Go here as often as we can. Adam n Mel, Kimberly n Chelsey are a few of great people there. Adam n Mel are 2 of the owners. Adam brewmaster is great at brewing. Food is delicious n not Food you've ever had unusual things no one serves. Beet chips are awesome they make there.Definitely our go to place thx ?

First time I visited, I loved the place. The second time, we waited more than an hour for food because our waitress forgot to put in our order and was too busy chatting with the bartender. The third time, a waitress came by and didn't reappear with our water for 15 minutes (it wasn't busy either). On my fourth and final visit, we sat there for 10 minutes and again, not busy. We left because we had this experience before. I'm super forgiving when an establishment is slammed and if staff appear to hustle. This has not been my experience. I'm sad. I'd rather eat somewhere local any day of the week, but the service is terrible.

Staff was very rude. The food has gone downhill. Ordered a prime brisket burger, the baconator I ate for lunch was better. The burger was bland, they just threw some French’s crispy onions and some sweet BBQ sauce on top and called it a day. Potato wedges had no seasoning (salt at a minimum). Overall terrible experience.

Went in for Trivia night with some new friends. The place was far from busy. Only 2 wait staff. Sat for over 30min before she came to our table to get a drink order. Upon asking for a glass of wine, she informs me they have no wine or mead, how does a place like this run out of these staples? I decide I will just have water. I then make an order for stuffed shrimp. She says one sec, and goes to the kitchen. She then returns and tells me they are out of this food order as well. What are the coincidences... I overhear other individuals at other tables ordering othe dishes and are also told they are out. My impression is they only make soo many of each dish at the beginning of a set time period, and force patrons to only order what is still available.The atmosphere of the place was less themed or as prevalent as I expected. It honestly seemed like a place that had been open for 30+ years and seemed incredibly run down. I highly recommend thinking twice about going to this location for any reason. I know it's Topeka and EVERYTHING is poor and rundown, but this is not the place to "settle" on.

I didn't have a chance to try the food but the Odin's eye was delicious, the bartender was great and the atmosphere was fabulous.
Tried the Friday prime rib special for the first time at the lake location last night. I was not impressed with the quality of the food at all. The waitress told me it is served medium rare, which is how I like mine. I was disappointed because if anything, it was closer to medium well. No pink in the center at all. Very dry and little flavor. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. They were equally non flavorful. I only had a water with the meal and the total was $37 with tax. That was for the small 10 oz serving. I did eat my meal and never complained. Surely Topeka has somewhere that serves good PR for a decent price. Norseman by the lake isn’t one of them.

Good atmosphere, but We were sadly disappointed, we waited for more than an hour to be told our food order never went through the ticket system. They offered a discount and to put a rush on our food, which was just our appetizers at this point, after 10 mins I asked if they had an estimate because we had a concert to get to, our waitress told us that it could not be done in 20 minutes. We got a sorry from her and we had to leave without eating. We ordered the hummus plate and coconut shrimp for Apps, we did not think that it was unreasonable to get those quickly, our menus were taken before we could order a full meal which was never offered.

We were there for a birthday party upstairs and there were young children crying, screaming and fighting around the games the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there. Which is directly below where we were sitting.
When we arrived around 4:45 I went to the Men's Restroom and there were no paper towels for drying your hands. I informed the bartender they were out. I used the restroom 2 more times before we left and still no paper towels. I let the bartender know each time there were no paper towels yet. When we left at 7:30 and I stopped to use the restroom before we left there still were NO paper towels.

Our first experience with Norsemen and it was a good one! My husband and I split a Cuban and it was piled high with meat and flavor. We also ordered the Reuben Bites and the Savory and Sweid which were truly delicious. My husband enjoyed the New Tattoo IPA with his meal. Love having a local brewery with high caliber food.
