This place is an institution and it's loved and worth it the birthday deal is great also.
Food took forever to arrive. Two people in our party never got their side dish and the waitress didn’t even notice. Steaks were overcooked and arrived barely warm. Waitress was not attentive and never asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Steak was not tender. For the prices, one would expect way better food and service! VERY disappointing!
I ordered two dinners Togo on my birthday! Upon arrival to pick up my dinners, I was informed they no longer honor the birthday discount for to go orders, I said, thank you turned around and left…….
we went to North star last night and it was where we would go with my dad every year for his birthday dinner, he passed away two years ago and ever since then my family and I still go on his birthday and take a picture of him and sit on the table. The manager came around and asked about the picture, and I told her the story and then later our waitress brought out a dessert with a candle in honor of him, it was so very thoughtful and made it a very special moment, they went above and beyond to make it a special celebration.
Need to take clients out to dinner in the North Star never fails to impress!! Thank you for entertaining my guests love you guys!!!

First time to this restaurant. Went for our anniversary. The rather expensive ribeyes had no taste whatsoever. I even tried dumping salt on mine, but it didn't help. Hashbrowns were burnt. Gravy was so-so. My soda had a funky taste to it. Never going back.

Very disappointed. We have visited North Star for years for our birthdays. Always great food and service. Today not the case. Server was attentive but overall serve very slow. Hash browns were burnt and had to request another order. Just disappointed.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps, but they are steep, and the bathroom is small, but it's an 80 year old building that wasn't designed for accommodation.

Is very overpriced and way too dark to see what you're eating let alone what you ordered no one came by to fill up our glasses we had to ask someone else to fill up our water glasses it's like they didn't want to pay any attention to us because we don't drink alcohol
