⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ Disappointed by the cleanliness and upkeep
I stopped by this Panera Bread while in Topeka, and honestly, I was disappointed by how unkempt it was. The dining area and overall space looked dirty and cluttered, which really took away from the usual Panera experience I’m used to.
I understand it was a Saturday and probably a busy day, but cleanliness and organization should still be a priority — especially for a restaurant with such a strong brand reputation.
The staff seemed busy, but a little more attention to upkeep and presentation would make a big difference. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because I usually enjoy Panera, and I’d love to see this location improve.

Tried every day for more than 7 days, as early as 3:45, to get a sourdough bedhead bowl for my soup. NEVER GOT ONE!!!

I hate to leave bad reviews but this was too awful an experience not to.
I ordered ahead and showed up at the time of my order pickup. I then proceeded to wait twenty minutes until my order was finally ready. My order was supposed to include a bread bowl. Instead I received a giant bag of bread and a tiny bowl of soup. Due to the way it was packed it looked like a bread bowl and a few baguettes on top. That meant I didn't discover the issue until arriving home twenty minutes away.
If you want to get what you ordered in a timely manner I would spend your money somewhere else. Very disappointing.

Not sure why she had such difficulty getting out order correct and it took along time to get our food even though there was noone in front of us when we came in and ordered. Also had to go back as part of our order somehow didn't make it into our bag.

Pleasantly surprised by the Mediterranean sandwich. Very good!
The food is good , i went thru the self order stations so my interaction with employees was very little to nun . This place is extremely dirty . From tables to coke machines and even around the trash can , restrooms are even worse .

Beware bagel lovers! Panera no longer bakes their bagels in-store. They're concocted in a factory bakery, frozen and shipped to the stores to get a defrost and a quick brown and serve. The recipe is worse than Walmart's bagels. They're soft, spongy and like Wonder Bread on the inside. When I put one in my bakel slicer, the very sharp blade compresses the bagel into a lumpy mess. If this how corporate Panera treats it's loyal customers, with crappy products, I am done. After 40+ year, sayonara Panera!
