Smokey Dunks(food truck)

i use to eat here all the time was one of the best BBQ in Topeka rib tips was always so tender. But yesterday was very unsatisfied the rib tips was not rib tips they had bones in them when rib tips are gristle not bones. The taste was on point but I did not get what I ordered at all. My boyfriend got a chicken sandwich and it wasn't even chicken it was so dry and tasted like some other kind of meat.

Best BBQ. Hands down. Wow 🔥 and their Oreo cheesecake in a jar is mouth watering & sooo worth the $!

I've only had their food once and it was pretty good but they're never going to last with those horrible people skills. I've also picked up several door dash orders from them and on two different occasions the owner was just going off, yelling at his staff and causing customers and dashers to wait so he could throw his tantrum. Like literally throwing plates and stuff. Do better guys.

Catfish was amazing. We loved all the sides and the cheesecake.

I wanted to change it up for dinner and decided to give smokey dunks a try. Wow!!!
First of all never had gator before, absolutely delicious!!!!! Ribs were good!!
I'm glad we gave them a try! Diffently 2 thumbs up!

I'm gluten free. Ordered a slab-o'ribs at the Compass Point, live music venue. Such tender meat and the seasoning is sooo subtle. DELICIOUS!!!!

Atmosphere/Service: When we first arrived, there were to younger men working the trailer, and an older gentleman off to the side, talking to what i assume was his friend, beside the only other vehicle there. I was excited to try the place after reading so many good reviews. I walked up and said, "I hear you got the best BBQ in Topeka!" One of the young men just muttered something I couldn't understand, and the other didn't look up from his phone. I then asked if there was a meal with 1 lb rib tips similar to the 1 lb of burnt ends. He said "No, but you can just order the sides on the side." I placed my order, asked how long they had been there, and he told me 4 years. This was the extent of the conversation. Not the most welcoming place I've been to, for sure

Food: We ordered one pound of rib tips and one pound of burnt ends. We ordered mac&cheese, baked beans, cheesy corn, and cheesy potatoes for sides. The burnt ends were kinda hit and miss. Some were good, but some were very tough hard to even chew. Overall, they were smoked nicely with good flavor. The rib tips were wonderful. (My personal favorite) The sides were not what I expected and were quite unique. The flavor was great, but you would think they would be larger when ordering them with a pound of meat. (Not nearly enough for the 4 people I was feeding.) (I would recommend doubling up on the sides if you're in a similar situation.)

Bottom line: Not the best experience, (they even forgot to include the baked beans!) however the food was of good quality. I don't like to give up on a place after one visit, and I'm willing to go back the next time I'm craving some rib tips. Maybe it was an off night, we were early in the dinner window, so maybe they weren't quite in rhythm yet. I will update when/if I return.

Food was good and service was fast. Had 4 different sides the potato salad, Mac n cheese, coleslaw and cheese potatoes. All were ? and portions were generous.
