I ordered a six-pack of burritos like always do. So about halfway through my first burrito, I got up to use the restroom. Well, that was a mistake. Two minutes later my food was gone from an employee who thought she was cleaning tables. Five and a half burritos gone in the trash within minutes. Plus I waited over 10 minutes for my order and it wasn't even lunchtime. So basically my lunch and dinner were thrown in the trash. I'm pretty hungry right now and I will never give my visits to this place again. I miss the good old food and place.

This is our favorite place to eat at when visiting Topeka and we need a quick bite to eat. This place reminds me of a place I used to eat at that closed down. They fill the tacos up and the enchiladas are good too.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday and had to leave before I got my order. Waiting 40 minutes is too long. The lady that took my order claims they make everything fresh. I don’t know what they think other taco shops and restaurants make but everyone makes it fresh if you’re just scooping pre-made meat into a taco. It shouldn’t take so long, no matter how busy they are. Their food is basic, it’s not an authentic place. I will never go back to waste my time on basic tacos with terrible service. Wasting my lunch period once was enough.

The atmosphere at Al's isn't why you go there. That being said, there is something about the resteraunt being the same since I was a kid. The family photos of their family through the years. Like I said, you go there for hands down the best Tex-mex fast food in town. If you live in Topeka and have never eaten at Al's shame on you. The enchiladas are fantastic, but that sauce on the combo burrito is even better. Oh, don't forget to try the taco burger. When I make it back to Topeka, I never go without a visit to Al's. So, if you live in Topeka, what are you waiting for?
