3rd time going here. Excellent. A bit pricy so only reserved for special occasions. Mr McConnell was adorable and entertaining. Definitely going back again.

For a Hotel restaurant I was really happy with my food. After a long day of working it was a good choice

If there were more than five stars, The Weather Room would get them. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere with clean decor and professional, friendly staff who ensure you have what you want. Braden was an exceptional waiter and even handwrote an anniversary card for us before leaving 🄹 The beef tips with mashed potatoes and demi glass were quite possibly the best thing I've eaten in my entire life. My husband had the ribeye and said he now trusts someone else to cook a steak for him, which is a huge compliment. The bruschetta we started with was phenomenal, with fresh tomatoes, goat cheese, and a delicious balsamic glaze. The price isn't out of line for the quality of food and service. The restaurant is inside a hotel, so be aware of what you're walking into when you arrive. Zero complaints here; we'll be back when we're in the area.

Somehow one of the best restaurants in Topeka is attached to a Hotel. That’s not to take away from its excellence just feels like it should have a stand alone location with how exquisite the food is but other than that everything here is top notch.

We had a great date night at The Weather Room. We had reservations and were seated pretty quick in the bar area. We both ordered seasonal cocktails - I had the Hazy little thing and my hubs had Ember & Orchard. Mine was gross. It was a Tumeric gin drink with yogurt - and the yogurt tasted spoiled. Hubs said his drink was ā€œokā€ and he tried mine and agreed it was disgusting. I don’t think they charged me… so that’s good. I ordered the Decoy (red) after. We got Crab Cakes which were tasty but soggy - likely made yesterday. Hubs got French Onion soup - he really liked. And got the Filet medium w/mashed for entree. They served my steak w/o a steak knife because ā€œthey were out.ā€ My server was frustrated at this and got me one. My steak was medium rare… not medium. But delicious! Mashed were good. My hubs loved his chicken.

Mom and I love trying fun places for lunch when we travel. This restaurant is located in the hotel lobby. Allison was very knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect service! We had the bruschetta appetizer and steak salad. The steak was a perfect med rare, just how we ordered it. Basalmic dressing with the salad was a perfect compliment. Delicious food. There was a chicken cordon blue sandwich the sounds amazing. Next time! We recommend this place! Yum!

Excellent food and service. Every time I visit Topeka, I stay in this hotel and have great food in the restaurant every night.

I took my wife here for her birthday. I have never been here before, that will change.
The atmosphere is great. The staff was amazing.
This is not a fast food restaurant. You have to wait for the food, but the wait is worth it.
The portions are huge, and the food is exceptional.
Our waitress Melissa was great. She checked on us through out the meal, took time to talk and has an amazing personality. She would make a great event coordinator.

Convenient linked to the Cyrus hotel. Service was mediocre… quite a loud restaurant too. Food was pricey but ok.

My wife and I went for breakfast. The food was very disappointing to say the least. Nice presentation but no flavor, very bland and boring. I got the breakfast skillet with fried breakfast potatoes scrambled eggs peppers onions and sausage. The highlight of this dish was the potatoes. They were fried to perfection very crisp. Unfortunately the flavor of the rest of my dish was so very dull, flavorless and left me regretting spending $14 on a dish I could of made at home for a fraction of the cost with so much more flavor. My wife got the southwest avocado toast. The egg on the toast was again very bland and tasted like it came out of a carton and was not a fresh cracked egg. The salsa top was colorful and pretty but the flavor and texture was very off putting. The atmosphere is nice and feels very elegant for Topeka though the food did not live up to that standard we did appreciate the cleanliness and service. Lastly they advertised 15% off for veterans and first responders which my wife and I are both of these. When we asked our server about it she told us she is unable to do it for us due to not having managers on duty on Monday’s when it this discount is advertised. It would have been nice to save some money on the less than mediocre food we received.

We stayed at the Cyrus having stayed prior two years ago, and remembered having good food in the restaurant on the prior visit. This time it was a different story. We tried the Caesar salad—it had brown lettuce and bad-tasting dressing. My husband had the French Onion Soup, and it was too salty to eat. I had pasta with chicken added, and the chicken was seasoned and did not taste good—it overwhelmed the pasta Alfredo. Mt husband had a burger, which was just okay. The next morning we had breakfast. We wanted a full-service breakfast, not the buffet—and were told to fetch our own coffee from the self serve area. Water was not brought to the table until we asked, and service was slow, with only one server. The breakfast had undercooked watery eggs. Very dry toast (that was like dry bread with no evidence of toasting), diced potatoes that were very dry and greasy and not crisp bacon. No condiments, or butter offered. My orange juice, which was a long time coming, and which I took a big drink of upon it finally arriving, was spoiled and hoping I do not get sick from it. Oh, and there were several flies buzzing around our table at breakfast. A terrible experience overall. We will not dine or stay again as the in-house restaurant was a driver of choosing this hotel.

The food was not good. They were out of the pork chop. The Cajun pasta was overcooked and piled up with a much too thick sauce. The Cesar salad was brown and dressing was not a Cesar dressing and too thick to pour. Bread was brought to table as we finished and it was totally bland dry roll. Butter came later still.
Service was uninformed and not really there. This restaurant is just poor in every way and I can honestly say that not one in my party will return.

It’s a beautiful space, good was good and unique, service was friendly but a little slow for the amount of people in the restaurant. We did the butter board, Hail Stones, and I had the chicken fried lobster.
The butter board was super fun, would have been a 5 if they used salted butter. Hail stones were amazing! BBQ sauce was delicious. Chicken Fried Lobster was fun! The lobster was delicious, the rest had potential but it was under seasoned.

Food was, as you would expect for a weekend only breakfast in Topeka, above average but nothing to write home about. The Service was absolutely amazing! For a server to be awake, not to mention well versed in all they had to offer during the entire day and very helpful with a dose of charm. Thank you Melissa! You made a going out in Topeka a treat (which is no small order). Looking forward to trying your suggestions on the lunch menu.
