The food was good and well priced. It was surprisingly slow for a Saturday night but we were grateful for that after being out all day at parks and antiquing. The waiter was very nice and really did a good job for someone new to the profession. Most of the wait staff that we saw was grossly under trained and spent more time chatting with each other than doing their job. However, I will give the benefit of the doubt and say that they could have been cutting staff or in a shift change when we got there at 6:30pm-ish. Our waiter was very attentive to his tables answered any questions we had and checked on us. He really was a pleasure.

Sat for more than 10 minutes and had t o get our own menus and then 10 more minutes for someone from the kitchen to come to take our drink order. Another 25 minutes with no one taking our order so we left enough money to pay for our drinks and went to the Iron Rail in downtown Topeka.

Great service and food. The manager was very friendly and helpful. My server was training a new server. They both were very pleasant and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the bathroom well stocked. Overall it was a great experience. I would highly recommend Thunderbird Grille to my friends and I will definitely be back.

My son wanted to play pickleball for his birthday, so we checked out the Thunderbirds Grille. You do have to reserve courts, but they provide the equipment, we had plenty of time to play, and the court area had a good setup. No reservation is needed to dine, although we had a large party so I did reserve a table ahead of time. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to accommodate our large-ish party (10 people). The atmosphere was cool, staff were great, food was delicious, and we had a great time playing pickleball. Overall fantastic experience!

Update Summer: Today ordered the Mac n cheese with grilled chicken on top. Delicious. A little spendy but It’sa large portion and worth it!
Ordered chili and a cinnamon roll for my mom. Usually it’s very good. But today is terrible. Chili is soupy and they sent this cinnamon roll out ICE cold and just slapped a gob of icing in it. For $5 a roll I expected it to be warm! Hoping this is not becoming the norm.

Nice place, friendly waitress. Seemed like the waitress we had was busting her butt waiting on almost everyone there while her coworker just loafed around and hardly did anything. Prices were a little high but food and drinks were great. Just wouldn't really recommend this place cause of the prices
