The food and service were great. The company was even better! I went with my son ❤️We had chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops the rating system doesn't have many options from the hibachi side. This restaurant has separate sides for hibachi & sushi set upsParking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: Others had kidsWheelchair accessibility: Other had wheelchairs

This used to be my favorite hibachi place, but the food was awful - over cooked,, over seasoned, I didn't even want a to go box. The service was horrible, and all for the extreme amount of over priced.. They really need to get it together.

Server was amazing. Our chef juggled the eggs and this utensils so that was neat. Food was good. The fish tank as you walk is in amazing to watch.

It's a cool little place. It was a bit dingy of a ceiling where the fire had gone for the grills, but the food was good. Loved the sushi roll I got. I will say it was dreadfully cold in the establishment for my liking. The Hibachi was okay. The lobster was a bit overcooked, still edible, though. I would have liked a bit more attention from the waitress for things/items.

The coldest restaurant I have ever been to. We were all freezing!!! I have heard great things about this place and was pretty excited to try it. I wasn't impressed. Where to start... the waitress managed to come at the most awkward times and often. We felt extremely rushed. That may be an understatement. Although the sushi and rolls were not bad, they weren't my favorite. I did however like the miso soup the waitress brought me - which I never ordered. I only agreed to the salad and got both. Not a big deal, just my point on the meh service. She didn't listen. I ordered hot green tea. It wasn't exactly hot, not the best flavored green tea either. No refills. Water cups went empty. We also ordered crab rangoons and again, not impressed. I've been going to sushi restaurants all over the US from Hawaii to Arizona, I won't be back to this one. Two stars only because we didn't leave hungry and we didn't get sick.

So coming in for lunch and just wanted to has sushi. They have two sides one for teppanyaki and regular seating for sushi. Now I would like the thank the chef very friendly we asked him questions about which sushi we wanted and were able to order it. I have lived in Japan for 3 years and Kansas for past year and best sushi I have had since being here. Great ambiance the kids liked the fish tank right as you walk in. Meals also come with soup and salad. If I am back in Topeka I will stop by again.

Tried to dine in upon arrival was not greeted or acknowledged with plenty of staff walking past us. After someone came and asked us how many people are in our party she proceeded to assist other customers and say them down before us and we were told he had a 20 min wait. Off service alone will not recommend.Edit: They didn’t have a reservation. They walked in after us. Employee never asked if either parties had reservations and only ask for number if individuals in each group. Poor excuse for poor customer service. Next time try not to lie about the situation.

We dined on the non-Hibachi side of the restaurant but were still able to order from the Hibachi menu. The restaurant's interior is quite charming. We ordered several nigiri, including salmon, white tuna, squid, and yellowtail. While the fish quality was decent, the rice-to-fish ratio felt slightly excessive, and the rice itself was a bit stiff. From the Hibachi menu, I tried the filet mignon and scallops, both stir-fried to a delightful texture and complemented well by the vegetables and fried rice. It was overall a fairly pleasant dining experience.

Best sushi in town. Local business. The owners and staff are great. My wife and daughter love the hibachi. Extra points for an actual sake menu.

The food was okay, but probably the lowest-end hibachi I've had. Prices were way too high and the young guys that were cooking barely knew what they were doing, took forever to make the food, and continually cutting up with the cook behind him. The sushi was good.
