El Agave Mexican Restaurant

Got there didn't have to wait to long to get seated. Another waiter with no personality brought us chips and salsa. While eating chips and salsa we waited 12 - 15 minutes to get our order taken including a water and a Pepsi. We never got at least water when we sat down. After another 10 minutes of eating chips and salsa we finally got our drinks. Waited probably another 10 minutes for food. Had to ask for more chips for salsa. Male waiter never came around once and ask if we needed anything. Finished dinner and waited more time for ticket with no thank you for coming in. When our order was taken our waiter was more interested in watching a soccer game. We were only hoping he heard us. We've had the same waiter before with pretty much the same attitude. NO PERSONALITY AT ALL. I've been there 3 times and 3 strikes and your out. I won't go back. I'll take the extra time to go to Valley Center where you get A++++ make you feel at home atmosphere and superb Mexican food.

I was impressed. This place was busy on a Saturday evening. They handled our group with great service and good food.

Service was pretty poor. When I called asking if kids still ate free on Thursday, I was assured they did. After driving there, sitting down, waiting a long while to order we were told that no, they don't do that and that no they don't do free kids meals on Thursday and apparently I'm a liar for saying I called specifically about that and was told they did. It was literally the only reason we went as the kids meals they offer sure aren't worth spending money on.

Service for the rest of the meal was spotty and slow. No one was all that impressed with the food and my kids left hungry due to the tiny kid's meals that apparently aren't free on Thursdays anymore.

Pretty unpleasant experience. Won't be back. There are better options for average Mexican.

Always phenomenal service and food.

First time here and it was great! The food was delicious and our server was great! He was attentive, wonderful, and we left full and happy.
