We made reservations at Kobe two weeks ago for a birthday celebration with a party of 22. As many of you know, Kobe has a policy that your entire party must be present to be seated—so we made sure everyone was there on time.
After waiting over 30 minutes, they finally seated half of our group. We were patient, understanding that tables turn over at different times. But after waiting even longer, the other half of our group was told we would NOT be seated together—even though the other side of the table had cleared out.
When we spoke to Vanessa, the hostess, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unaccommodating. Her reasoning? She “didn’t want to delay other reservations.” 🤬
Wait—what?!
We’ve already been waiting nearly 40 minutes, and now we’re being told other reservations are more important than our party there was an available table with the same number of seats, and with a little effort, they absolutely could have seated us together. But instead, they chose poor service and bad attitude.
Thankfully, Old Tokyo Steakhouse came through and welcomed our full party a little later without hesitation! 🙌🎉
So, to wrap it up: Kobe lost a huge party, lost out on a big check, and most definitely lost our future business—and probably that of anyone reading this who knows what good customer service should look like.

A very fun place for dinner, it was a huge hit with our 6 year old for his first hibachi experience. The food was really good, albeit slightly overpriced in my opinion;many options for all diets. I would have liked more condiments and spice! We will definitely be back.

We brought our kids to kobes tonight to distract them after the loss of our close family friend. Obviously the staff had no idea of this, but the chef was throwing down and keeping them laughing and entertained. My wife had an accident and spilled water in her lap, and it was just the last little pebble that brought on an avalanche. The staff were so courteous and kind to her, and to my family. I feel awful that I couldn't tip nearly well enough in comparison to their service. If there were ten stars they would rate it in my opinion. Will definitely return, they get full marks in good service, and generally in just being humane people.

Had my food and drink dumped in my lap I'm sure it was an accident but when the man̈ager came out all she said was I'm sorry we'll pay for your meal did anything get on you when I told her yes she just ducked her head said I'm sorry ran back to the kitchen never to be seen again no offer of more food or napkins towels to clean myself off no offer of any compensation for the dress they ruined ( there's 50$ down the drain ) I kept my composure and didn't lose my cool and make a scene like I could have but you can be assured I won't be dinning there again

The fried rice is delicious! Chefs are okay, entertainment wise. They really get big parties in & out in an hour. It's too bad they seem more worried about quickness than anything. It feels very rushed.

Where do I even begin?! Let's start with atmosphere...so fun! You feel so welcomed. Next is service. From the moment you step in, they take care of you. Now food...exceptional. It was so delicious and makes me want to go back for more. The options are amazing. Now for our hibachi cook...this is where it's at. I've been to a hibachi several times before, but this was my funnest experience. I've had great ones but tonight, we got an exceptional chef. He was so energetic, funny, and an amazing cook. Highly recommend!
