La Chinita Méxican Restaurant

My Mother and Father took my 6 month old daughter out to eat with them tonight. *they don’t leave reviews so I’m doing it for them* I got off work and was told they had to Get up and leave a restaurant for the first time today. And they go on Date nights EVERY Friday. Tonight they had a live band RIGHT next to them which they did not know would happen. It scared my daughter as any loud instruments would to a 6 MONTH OLD BABY. And damage their ears. My mother politely asked the server, some older short dark hair lady with glasses if they could anyway move tables or it turned down. MORE THAN ONCE. And she said the waitress never went and asked just walked away and went to the front. Said the server had an attitude while giving the to-go boxes to them and saying something like “we’ve never had anyone complain before” Also said she wouldn’t of left the tip she did if she would of said that before. My parents always leave 20 or more %. You guys are LUCKY I was working during this time at my serving job and I’m probably the best server any job could have so I know. My mother loves the food here as she has been here MULTIPLE times and she said she will never be back again due to the service she had. I am VERY upset this happened with my baby shooken up. And my parents having to leave without eating all their meal. They are the nicest people in the world and I don’t appreciate this happened to them.

Food wasn't good service was not good trying to get your bill was slow.

I haven't eaten at this restaurant in a while, and remembered why after my visit today. It wasn't significantly busy in the restaurant today, yet the service was lacking. I had street tacos, and the pastor was cooked and marinated well, but really was mediocre when compared to other Mexican food establishments. The others at our table were unimpressed with both the service and food.

My wife and I got carry out and we’ve both been sick with stomach aches and diarrhea all night. I’ve been in there 3 times since the move and sick 2 out of three. I noticed the one time I ate there the parking lot was full of trash and the bathrooms were dirty so I’m assuming the kitchen is the same way. First time we’ve been sick together from eating from a restaurants. Hopefully they do better on cleaning and preparing food as time goes by but we won’t be back for awhile. Sad we were hoping for a good place close by but they failed us. Clean up your act!!

Our first time to go to New location. All 3 of us were very disappointed in their salsa. Taste like tomatoe Soup.
Not spicy at all. We decided to switch to the hot sauce hoping it would be better.. It was so blah. My La Chinita #1 wasn't nearly as good.
Sorry for bad score, but hoping owner will see the review and fix salsa.

I went there when I wasn't very hungry but I wanted to try their breakfast so I got a couple of their tacos. Very good food very fair price. They're going to be moving from their Broadway location to West 13th soon though.

you won't walk away hungry. Quality of the food really good. You won't be disappointed. The picture with the taco is the combo meal number 5. Next is the Monday special $6.99

Been coming to this place since I was a little girl best food in Wichita Kansas best Mexican I have been coming here because my grandparents went to school with the original owners and it has been passed down through the family they have the best cheese enchiladas

It was ok. I do not like that the put the forks in the container of the actual meals. It just made things messy. Why not just put them in the bag? The forks were covered in cheese, sauce, and rice. The ketchup was put in on top of the French Fries, which made the ketchup hot. The Chips were good. The hot sauce is HOT while the mild has zero flavor. The Chile Relleno, Beef Enchilada, with Corn Taco plate was good. The taco shell was still crispy despite the longer drive. The Pint Chile Con Carne Sauce had one small piece of meat in it, which for the cost was not a good portion. The 2 Chile Rellenos plate was good and the beans were better than other locations around town. The Sopapilla were flavorful. I’d order from them again, but they are on the line of not being good. The flavors are just lacking.

I use to eat at La Chinita with my mother years ago. It was like I remembered. Ham flautas were still very good.
