We went for our anniversary and they gave us a free dessert. I would definitely recommend for a special night out that's not super expensive but it's also not a run-of-the-mill place. Delicious food, I recommend the veal or salmon fettuccine
Service was top notch, and the food was delicious!! Greek salad and chicken tortilla soup paired with a refreshing mocktail. Thank you Daryan!!
Everything was amazing
The food I got there was excellent. The drinks were excellent. The desserts were so-so. The tiramisu was excellent. But the other two we ordered were not that great. They weren't bad but they weren't great either that's why I said they were so so. Overall my dining experience there was great
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Nice variety of dishes. We stopped here while visiting Wichita and had the metro salad and salmon nicoise salad, both of which were very good. The Friday night jazz was a nice touch.
Went mid afternoon, had individual attention from the waitress. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and allergens I needed accommodated. The food was perfect and the creme brule wonderful.
Wow!!! Melt in your mouth steak! Everything is just top of the line, delicious. Can't go wrong.
Such a nice restaurant- friendly service and great food and drinks. The cocktails are great and the calamari was delicious. We love the salads- the beet salad is the best I’ve ever had.
Excellent food and service.

I don’t normally leave reviews so bear with me. I have dined at Larkspur on a couple handful of occasions. I have great memories of this restaurant because my wife and I had our wedding reception in the banquet room.
Last night might be the last time we dine at this restaurant. Staff was helpful and did a decent job. Drink order came out late with our salads. Wasn’t upset with the waiter he made a mistake it happens. My Caesar was not great I didn’t eat half of it because it made up of yellow and white stalks of lettuce. I like my salads green unless it is potato salad. My entree Steak Arrbiata with fettuccine was great. Only critique would be it could have used more beef or mushrooms. It was a great dish.
So how did dinner go sideways? We had the privilege of a table neighbor bringing a purse dog in who barked repeatedly through our meal. Every time the dog felt like it needed more food the dog would bark incessantly while the owner gave it no mind as it barked. Not sure when this became okay to bring your pet to a restaurant but it is not an establishment I will go back to.
Makes me feel like an old man saying “Get off my lawn”. The thing is I have a dog and think of her as an extension of my family. To subject other patrons to this seems rude and inconsiderate of others and their hard earned money on an above average dinner bill.
Then again maybe I am out of line and this is a new normal for society as a whole.

After having a couple beers at the house, I felt the hunger pains setting in. I couldn't make a decision on where to go, so I headed to Old Town, where plenty of restaurants are located. I decided on Larkspur where I haven't been in some years. I noticed they changed the menu up some since my last visit and I had a difficult time deciding what to order. I ended up choosing the Chicken Pistachio, and a Creamy Broccoli soup to start with. I'll be honest, this was one of the best meals, if not THE best meal I've had in a long time. It's hard to describe, but the soup was the perfect consistency with the right amount of butter. I haven't had soup this good in ages. I can't get over how good it was. After overly enjoying my soup, I was excited to see how the Chicken Pistachio would turn out. It was exceptional to say the least. I enjoyed every bite I took. The butter cream sauce made the dish hands down. Even the mashed potatoes were out of this world. I had lots of garlic and of course, MORE butter. The olive oil that came with the bread was pretty f'ing amazing. I used to think George's French Bistro was my favorite restaurant, but after the meal I had today, Larkspur is close competition

Almond trout was a nice light meal before a show. The appetizers and other meals were delicious also. Service was wonderful. A long standing lovely local space that should be visited more often.

I am a long time Wichita resident who spent 19 years in various locations in the US. Recently two friends and I totally enjoyed a re-visit to this local gem and have vowed to spread the word and to return often. Our excellent lunch was presented with speed and care and an amazing amount of attention. The broccoli soup was the best….thick and creamy and the beet salad was uniquely delicious. Our waitress was darling, efficient and attentive.
Truly the lengthy history of quality food served in a lovely atmosphere is impressive. We all vowed to return soon and bring friends who will appreciate this venture into fine dining.
