My sister is in town for a quick weekend visit and we were looking around for food but weren't sure what we wanted. We saw this place online and everything on the menu sounded so good.
We got the cheeseballs, pork belly cupbap, rose teokbokki, and the half and half potato dog combo that comes with your choice of mochi donut and any drink on the menu (YES, ANY!). To top it all off, we also ordered a passion fruit and a strawberry Italian sodas with whipped cream.
We weren't sure what to expect but everything was amazing! The portions were so big that we ended up with enough leftovers for a full dinner later.
The cheeseballs were crispy but soft with a VERY satisfying cheese pull (IYKYK). The pork belly in the cupbap was sooo tender and juicy, but the dish itself was packed full of other things (rice, kimchi, spam, mini sausages, and a perfectly cooked over-easy egg), all so flavorful and, again, huge portion! The half and half potato dog was huge and I topped it with their hot dog seasoning, ketchup, and mayo - it was perfect and more than enough for a meal in itself. The potatoes on it were cooked perfectly to where the outside of each one was crispy, but the inside was cooked perfectly - not overcooked at all. Also perfect cheese pulls with every bite on the cheese side, and a delicious hot dog on the other half. The rose teokbokki (with cheese!!!!) had perfectly chewy rice cakes, soft fishcakes, and a surprise hard boiled egg in a lovely sweet and spicy sauce and yummy melty cheese all over - perfect for a midnight snack if they were open that late. The mochi donuts were cooked perfectly and we tried 4 different flavors, all of which were delicious in their own ways. If I lived closer to this area, i would totally stop by here for a coffee and mochi donut for breakfast every day! Finally, the Italian sodas to wash everything down with in between were *chefs kiss*.
Their menu feels carefully curated in a way where everything seems to compliment each other well. The only downside to our visit was that we didn't have the appetite to try everything on their menu, especially the egg toasts. They look amazing!!
This will probably be a regular stop for us when my sister comes to visit every month or 2. I already know what I want to try next! Can't wait!!
