Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

I had one of the best servers at this place, however I did order an alcoholic beverage. I am 21 had my birthday last month. A woman who was not my server asked to see my id, proceeded to ask for me to take it out, scratched the front and back of it, went to the bar side, shined light through it and asked her coworkers if it was a valid ID. I have never had issues with my plastic and paper ID when going out. The girl who scratched my ID’s name is Linnea or how ever it is spelled. Overall food and server were amazing!

It was my first time going to eat at Old Chicago Pizza. I didn't like the noisy atmosphere where you can't here what a person across the table is saying. But I chose a pizza with an ale crust! It was delicious!

Tried the new queso pizza with chicken. It was so uniquely tasty, 2 of us finished the whole thing!! The toppings were perfect together!

I went here for my birthday again this year.
I have never ordered a pizza from Old Chicago.
Well, this time I did, I ordered the Chicago 7, which is kind of akin to a supreme pizza.
And while it smelled so good, and the toppings were abundant, it was super doughy.
Like, unedible doughy.
The two other pizzas that were ordered seemed to be just fine, but I couldn't even finish mine.
Hell, I couldn't even get through one piece, and so when the waitress asked me for to-go boxes, I gladly took one.
(If you're wondering why I didn't speak up, It was because the pizza was free because of my birthday, and I didn't want to make a big scene about it. I took it home and cooked it there and it was fine.)
Service was awesome.
Wait staff was amazing.
Italian nachos were bomb.

I took my girls tonight for pictures with Santa. My first time there and these ladies had me crying. I'm a single working mom and the manager took it upon herself to take care of our meal. All of the staff was just amazing and it really touched my heart when they approached me to tell me. This is definitely something I will never forget! An unforgettable Christmas blessing 🫶

I ve been patronizing Old Chicago west for for 24 years. Not as often as I used to though. There used to be a few more menu and beer selections that are no longer available. Still a few items on the menu that I really like still around fortunately, like the Apple Walnut chicken salad. The restaurant is always clean and have very pleasant employees. There use to be a more cozy atmosphere with the walls painted with a warm beige tone. But the last remodel, it was apparently decided to repaint using a stark white paint. The comforting repurposed wood windows that separated the dining room, and bar area were replaced with wire mesh impregnated glass panels. They were reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria. Not very welcoming. All in all it is still a decent place to meet over dinner with a friend.
