The Black Angus Grille AT THE Marriott

It hasn't existed for 5 years we were told.

Mediocre at best. Server was friendly, but disappeared quickly and never seen again after taking our orders. Pacing was terrible. Our group of four was still eating our salads when one diner’s main course was brought out. Food was lackluster, waters weren’t refilled, no offers of dessert, and had to request the check. Fine dining should be an experience, not just bringing out food. No experience, lackluster food. There won’t be a return visit.

We dined with friends on a Saturday night. Our server was personable and attentive when we were seated and we ordered. Didn’t see him after that. The wine list was decent. Our meals were mediocre - salmon, veal chop, pasta shells, salads and steak soup. One meal was served and it was quite a while before the other meals were served. We were disappointed and won’t return.

Very nice restaurant, not big but cozy . Food was very good , staff was very polite.

What a beautiful Marriott Hotel which we did not get to stay in..restaurant is inside. We enjoyed a grilled chicken cobb salad and it was very good. Tacos were also good. Could have skipped the dessert...Our waiter was great...within walking distance from a group of hotels...worth not moving the car!

We split an excellent Marriott Burger -- excellent quality and ample beef properly cooked to medium. Reasonable selection of wines, but with high markup. Staff were courteous, efficient, and helpful contributing to relaxation after a long drive with detours.

Very disappointing. It was as if no one on staff had been told that this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. The only upscale thing here is the pricing and the decor. Unenthusiastic service aside, the food was strictly mediocre. We will never go back.

Huge menu and everything very reasonably priced! Food was among best ever eaten and the portions were large. This is not a restaurant for wimps, sissies, or those on a diet. It is staffed by friendly and courteous folks who truly wish to please their clientele. The beverage offerings were many and they NEVER freeze their meats. The meats and vegetables are fresh and locally produced! There is not a single restaurant in New York, London, Tokyo, or elsewhere can can top the fresh meat this establishment offers.

I’m part of a large group. Mostly only one server. My wife’s meal came an hour after the rest of us finished eating. My credit card has been on the table for an hour easily. The food was fine. The server was really nice. I’ve been here just under 4 hours so far. I really really want to go home.

Staying at the hotel and figured I would try their “Marriott burger”. Glad I did as it was very good and was made with good Beef. The fries were ok, nothing to brag about And the service was Excellent

Atmosphere is wonderful. Food was excellent and service was good. 5 out our party of 6 ordered steaks plus the meatloaf. Entire part lived their food. Parmesan mashed potatoes were excellent also. I was given a desert for my birthday. It was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had! Even had a lit candle! Had a wonderful time with family and family! Will definitely be back!! Thanks for the great experience!!

This Fireside Grill just recently opened in Gilbert, AZ. Nice architecture, comfortable seating. Service was good, not great. Meals were overpriced by 30%. Food was good, could have been a little warmer. Portions were good. While we enjoyed the experience, don’t consider it a “good value” and probably won’t return.
