The Depot Pizza & Taps

Extremely disappointed with our experience working with Jeff!!! We reserved the upstairs event room for my niece’s graduation party with clear written assurances from the owner, Jeff Knott, that we would have one hour to decorate and three hours for our event—with the space empty and staff available to assist. Instead, we arrived to find the room full due to a bar crawl, had to work around intoxicated patrons, and received little help setting up. The promised table arrangement was also ignored. When I called Jeff to address these issues, he was shockingly rude and defensive, blaming everyone—including the bar crawl organizers , his own employees AND our FAMILY, which he insulted as “the rudest customers” he’s ever had. He took no accountability for the mismanagement. Jeff was out of town during the event, leaving Zack in charge. Though polite at first, Zack also became dismissive and defensive when we voiced concerns. This was a meaningful family celebration—we didn’t drink, we tipped generously, and cleaned up thoroughly. It’s deeply disappointing that such a great venue was overshadowed by SUCH unprofessional behavior. That said, Cole and Christian were outstanding and incredibly helpful. Cole helped the best he could with our requests and was very kind. Christian did an amazing job as our server/bartender. He was friendly, helpful and efficient. Unfortunately, I DO NOT recommend working with JEFF KNOTT or ZACK in any capacity.

I know everyone seems to love this place, but I think it's just kind of bland. The service was good, no complaints. The server was polite and the food arrived promptly. That's worth something.

The building is old, so apparently that means I can't say anything bad about it. The parking is awkward though. The spaces are sized for a compact carriage, not a modern-day behemoth like a Smart car or a Fiat. The entrance is awkward and the interior is built around the bar, which is clearly the focus of this business. It is a bar that happens to sell food, not a restaurant that serves drinks, and the quality of the food reflects that.

If I had been drinking all night, I would be blown away by the heat and eat club sandwich. Normally, this kind of gourmet cuisine is only found at fine establishments like QuikTrip. QT doesn't have microwaved waffle fries with their sandwiches though. It must have been my lucky day though. I was fortunate enough to have an empty bottle of ketchup to compliment the bed of salt accompanying my potato garnish.

I exaggerate, but this place just isn't special. The prices are pretty fair though.

We recently hosted our truck group’s holiday party at The Depot Wichita, and it was an incredible experience! We reserved the 2nd floor attic bar, which was the perfect space for our large group. The venue was decorated for the holidays, adding a warm and festive touch that made the event even more special. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food was fantastic, and the festive drinks were a big hit! The Depot Wichita has a wonderful atmosphere and all the amenities you could need. If you’re looking for a spot to host a party or event, I highly recommend them. They truly went above and beyond to make our celebration a success. Thank you for helping us create such a memorable afternoon!

Good pizza and beer selection. TV selection good for games.

We came in from out of town for a concert and came in for lunch. The pizza was the best pizza I've had in a long while. The service was so great Rachel was really on top of it and made our lunch so enjoyable. Anytime we are in Wichita we will always stop by again.

Just visited. Terrible service sitting at the bar. The bartender think her name is allison could barely pull herself away from her phone long enough to take our orders great awesome loaded waffle fries. Shootout to the kitchen staff!! If you're at work get off your phone and make eye contact with patrons please won't be back

I was sitting at home and had my heart set on Tor Brewing. But, I actually just had a burger recently, so I drove around Old Town for a little bit, and decided to stop at the Depot. This is my first stop here, and it looked like an interesting place to try. I didn't have high expectations of the place because I figured they just served Ziggy's pizza, and a few other things. What I didn't realize is they have a very extensive menu. I ended up ordering the Buffalo Chic Town, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. For a very basic sandwich, it was honestly really good. Even though it was kinda overpowering with buffalo sauce, everything still paired well together. It also came with homemade chips which I'm a sucker for. They were crisp and warm like they were fresh out of the fryer. I really didn't expect much when visiting here, but in all honesty, I really enjoyed my sandwich

Food was absolutely delicious, and our server was kind, quick, and fantastic even though he said he had only been there a few days! Patio was very clean. Our dog was welcomed and even served out of a nice water bowl. We left with four boxes of leftovers, very affordable as a family of four. Highly recommend!

Shout out to the kitchen crew ? ? ? food was top notch full of flavor and hot ? just the way I like it!!! You'll definitely find something to eat for you n the entire family. Outdoor/ indoor seating available beautiful building. ? located in the beautiful downtown wichita Don't even get me started on the drinks you'll just have to stop by for yourself ! 10 out of 10

Everything was awesome here. Absolutely loved the food, best waffle fries I've ever had. Also got the Mac attack pizza and that was so delicious, even my husband liked it and he's an extremely picky eater. The service was also so friendly and fast. Will be back to try other items on the menu.
