Such a wonderful little Wichita gem! I love the smell when you first walk in..sounds silly but they have SO MANY fresh coffee beans options the whole store just smells wonderful. You can buy by-weight, and you can buy the beans whole or have them grind them! They also have an entire tea room with pretty much every flavor and kind you could imagine! And of course.....SPICES. I love their selection, and again I love the by-weight option so I can get just a little or just a lot! They have a huge selection of adorable and quirky gifts/items of every kind, as well as kitchen items, cooking utensils, coffee mugs, etc. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you have a question. Such a unique little spot full of charm and character!

I absolutely LOVE this place. THE best spot for purchasing tea in the city. The coffee is great as well. It's fun to just paruse as well. And it smells AMAZING the moment you walk in!

They were very helpful and had a great assortment of seasonings and teas and coffees. I was really impressed with the assortment of things that they have . However, they are a little bit pricey for what they are but I can't find most of the things they have anywhere else west of Wichita.

Great place to walk around and check out the selection of coffees and teas they have on hand. They will roast any coffee beans you like and will also craftfully mix them

Not the place for me. Tried getting some coffee. Clientele seems to be about 85 years of age on average. Aisles seem like they are 6" wide with an old person blocking every single one. Wanted to get some coffee but was unsure of the ordering process and didn't get the impression the employees were approachable. There was a line full of people that seemed to be waiting to get coffee but I never saw the line move. An absolute nightmare of a store if you are claustrophobic. Also the tea section - if you can't handle, smell or otherwise touch or look directly at the tea - how do we know what to get? Do we have to ask the pretentious twat holding court in the tea area? This whole store is a hard pass for me, 2 stars for the aroma.

So sad when a local business loses touch and goes down hill. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade, enjoying the coffee, tea and spice offerings they provided. I used to send everyone I could to The Spice Merchant. Today they lost my business in a big way.

My spouse went to pick up some spices and tea today, and they had some questions on some spice blends. They asked an employee and received rude responses in return. This is unusual for us at The Spice Merchant, so my spouse decided to bring this to management’s attention. Not only did the owner refuse to believe this or take this feedback from a customer constructively, but he grabbed onto my spouse’s arm without consent during the conversation. I then made a phone call regarding the incident and the owner denied everything. I will not be shopping here any more. I love shopping local, but The Spice Merchant has lost touch with the community. They clearly they feel they are successful enough to do as they please.

The only place in Wichita I'll buy coffee. There's many roasts and flavors I enjoy. The people working the registers are always delightful but I did knock a star off my review as a couple of the guys working the coffee counter are less than pleasant. I understand they work for an extremely busy establishment but the passive aggression they will greet you with is absolutely unacceptable in a retail environment. If you cannot handle a high pace environment working with the general public without being short or treating people like they are of lesser intelligence than you, then I'd recommend a different field of work.

It can be an expensive place, but they do have some quality products. Still, I'm not gonna pay $9 for a small jar of jam on the regular. I will continue to frequent this business to see what they offer, though.

I love the selection and the scent of all the coffee. Prices are slightly high, but fair.

I needed Juniper Berrys and Sumac spice. Great price for both. Best price in town for hard to find Juniper Berries.

I don't really consider myself to be a spice kind of guy, but I can't help but admit that this place straight up rocks!

The Spice Merchant is amazing! They have such a wide variety of spices, teas, and unique ingredients. Everything is fresh, and the staff is incredibly helpful. Perfect place to find those hard-to-get flavors. Highly recommend!
