Decided to celebrate our anniversary here! First time trying. The food and atmosphere was incredible and our server Lila went above and beyond making our experience great!

This was our second visit to The Sweet Spot. My husband and I had gone a few weeks prior and noticed after walking in that there was a fairly large Birthday party going on. We hesitated thinking we might be 'short changed' with poor service, a long wait for our dinner and noise. That was not the case. We had no complaints and decided to go back with another couple. The server was very sweet, but very (seemingly) new. There was no one spotting him, which may have been the way to go. There were unreasonable waits for our drinks and he spilled one while serving. The cocktails were so-so (bartender not waiter). We had to remind the waiter of things a couple of times of things he forgot. We all have to start somewhere. I get that, but this is a review. The place itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable and the music is a nice touch. It has an upscale feeling to it. I had the trout, which was different from the last time I had it. It was good, but the first time was better. My husband had the shrimp and grits and loved it. The other couple had a salad, which was nicely presented and she said it was fresh and good. Her husband had the filet mignon, which was served with mashed potatoes, but as he said, it would have been nice with a side veggie, but he said it was good. The portion sizes were generous. We passed on dessert, but the cappuccino was weak and very 'milky.' The chef came out after dinner and was very friendly. We enjoyed chatting with him. Would we go back? Probably. It's definitely worth a try.
The atmosphere was awesome and the decor elegant but not stuffy. Very welcoming and relaxing. The greeter at the door was super friendly and our server was amazing. We had such high hopes. However, the food was decidedly average. I will give quite a bit of detail so that my rating makes sense. My ribeye steak, while tender, was thin and did not have much flavor. A good steak doesn't need seasoning other than salt and pepper, but this needed something. For $52 I expected more. The lionized potatoes were cooked well, but had a strange seasoning that was strong enough the onion flavor was hidden. My husband's pork chop was almost overdone but the polenta with which it was served was delicious. The brussel sprouts were pretty good but the tiny squares of pancetta were flavorless and chewy. Again, service and ambience were perfect.
Loved the French Onion Soup, it was hot, stayed hot and one of the few that I didn't think was too salty. Theirs is not salty at all but had great flavor and lots of onions. The steaks were perfectly medium rare. The mushroom risotto was tasty. The pepper crusted NY strip could have had more pepper but again it was tasty. We were stuffed but since we were celebrating a birthday we had the pecan and caramel bread pudding. It was a great meal and we recommend the Sweet Spot. We will return to try some of the other menu items we noticed.
The French onion soup was excellent. My fillet mignon was dry, and I had ordered the truffle butter, which didn't appear to be on my steak, and yet I paid for it. Everything was way overpriced. The brussels sprouts were very good. The lobster risotto didn't have any lobster in it, and yet we paid for it.
The Sweet Spot was amazing. The food was so good! If you haven't been there before you need to give it a try.
We went for a friends birthday. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It took 40 minutes to receive our drinks and hour and fifty three minutes to start receiving our food. Pick anywhere else!
Beautiful place, quiet, excellent service, steak was delicious. Hope it remains open, as we were the only three there at 5:15pm
We are really enjoying this restaurant. Trying to spread the word so it stays open. Location is a challenge but we live closeby and have loved everything about it. Worth checking it out ICT!

This is, hands down, the best bar and restaurant in Wichita. Ask for Lila or Robert at the bar for an amazing drink. If you’re looking for a place for a great date night or an evening out, this is it! Highly recommended!

Ordered a 14oz ribeye first steak was not cooked correctly second steak tasted like boiled meat, potatoes were drenched in salt. Ended up with food poisoning. Definitely will not be returning. You would think a 52$ steak would be cooked correctly the first time.
